That is pretty damn cool, but I have a feeling this is going to make even the most regular VR users, a little nauseous. We'll see though

That looks so cool but Meta exclusive is a huge let down and is going to have serious ramifications on VR game's future if they want to try and monopolise a pretty small but dedicated niche gaming market. Another reason to hate facebook and Zuckerberg

Then maybe Valve could release Half Life Alyx on PSVR2, and maybe Sony could support PC/SteamVR with PSVR2 in turn. Valve could also release an affordable headset that doesn't need tracking cameras. Where's the competitive spirit to combat Meta?

As it is, it's Meta Quest's 10m+ VR owners versus PSVR2's 600k and the never-announced figures for the Valve Index. VR is where it's at today not because of powerful systems but because Meta released a VR headset regular everyday people wanted to buy. And you can use that headset wirelessly with its own games, plugged into your PC with SteamVR with any decent USB-C cable, or even have it connect to your PC wirelessly.

So Valve should put Half Life Alyx on PSVR2, and Sony should put their entire system usable on PC?

Sounds fare.

Steam users should be able to use PSVR2, but what would Steam be giving up to Sony?

Seems Sony is giving up way more than anyone else in that scenario.

How is that a bad thing, Sony giving players more functionality on their VR headset in order to gain market share against Meta in this niche market?

Functionality which is free with a headset from 2019 that used to cost just $299 and, like PSVR, has its own ecosystem that competes with other VR platforms?

Now what you just said sounds way better than only saying Sony gets Half Life Alyx.

I guess that was what bugged me, because pc vr devs can bring their games over but it seems slow and like the first gen psvr were we got a lot of smaller games and experiences.

Besides market share Sony needs games for psvr2 on its own platform. Since pc isn’t closed like Sony there would be no promise of pcvr games coming to ps5 psvr2.

Looks rough for me nausea wise but I would play it anyway until I couldn’t anymore
