Yeah, but then Capcom ruined the release by opting for a Game Key Card instead of a proper 64GB cartridge. Skip

Flewid63815d ago

Nintendo still uses key cards and cartridges?

Inverno15d ago

I'm glad someone mentioned it.

Neonridr14d ago

yeah but at least you can still sell the game after since the key card isn't a one time use sort of thing.

No doubt devs are going to cheap out and go this route to save on manufacturing costs. But it still beats a code inside an empty box.

MetroidFREAK2114d ago

I wont support it. Even if you can resell it. A digital game in disguise that will be useless after Nintendo shuts off the internet for Switch 2. No thanks. Proper physical carts for me only

Neonridr13d ago

@MetroidFREAK21 - even with a physical disc, the games could still become unplayable down the road.

it's not like the old days anymore when it comes to physical media.

Is it really a brag when it’s just barely edging out the device developers screamed was holding them back on releasing games for the Xbox? Feel like we really need to think this one through

franwex15d ago

They were porting games to switch 1 too.

I think the main issue with the S is that due to the parity clause-more development has to be done to port the game to Xbox ecosystem as there are two consoles, and the games don’t sell that well to make it worth it.
They could simply go the COD way and make only the series s version and series x players play that.

But now that handhelds are becoming more popular and a bigger market segment. It is fair to say that perhaps those devices are pushing back gaming?

ABizzel114d ago

I mean, this is a one off, and primarily because the Series S version of Street Fighter 6 has a graphics bug that I don’t think Capcom ever fixed. It’s not properly loading graphics textures and looks like it’s rendering at half resolution in some cases, when it’s supposed to be native 1080p @ 60fps.

There are a bunch of articles and videos about how to “fix it” and it helps a lot (which is also why there are two versions do the Series S graphics in this articles video).

Neonridr13d ago

yes, considering the device is a fraction of the size. Imagine saying you had something that was like a Series S on the go. In what world would that be a bad thing?

Switch 2 will be great!

People keep talking about wait 2 years and it will be outdated, but I think graphics are reaching a saturation point. We will still get some games that really stand out, but at the same time the majority of games for the next 5-6 years will be able to run on the Switch 2..quote me on that.

It's like PS Vita, not as powerful as the PS3 put able to run some really good looking games, just like the steam deck raises that bar, the Switch 2 will keep pace and imo surpass it, out the gate we are getting 4k, DLSS, HDR, 60fps, and 120fps. All indie games will run great, Nintendo games will look like we have never seen before, and 3rd parties will be supported for a long time, along with anything is made exclusive, it will look phenomenal.

This system is fully equipped with the latest tricks and AI to help, I think the system will surprise people.

Enjoy paying 90$ for physical games, and an online subscription to use voice chat. What a cuck.

I will; I mostly play digital games, but thank you for your concerns about my finances.
