Hogwarts Legacy cut content includes references to more spells, a reputation system, and more ways to immerse yourself in your school life.
Hogwarts Legacy 2 is years away at this point, but the sequel could be the perfect game to make use of the Switch 2's features.
Hogwarts Legacy 2 could benefit from an expansion of the first game's enemy roster, and luckily, it has a large pool of creatures to draw from.
Couldn't go 2 sentences without bringing up JK Rowling's viewpoints (which are now acknowledged and supported by the UK Supreme Court). Time for all the "progressive" whiners to latch back on to reality.
Hogwarts Legacy has remained in first place on the UK retail charts, according to GfK data for the week ending April 19, 2025.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, following the release of the PS5 version, came in second place.
Astro Bot dropped one spot to third place, while Monster Hunter Wilds remained in fourth place. Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate is up one spot to fifth place and EA Sports FC 25 is up six spots to sixth place.
Playstation owners buy games.
Strange seeing Hogwarts there as I downloaded it for my son from PS Plus a couple of days ago.
2nd on the charts for a game such as Indy ain’t great.
Releasing half year after xbox version probably cooled off some demand.
This is a very good game, deserves the best chance to do well.
The real great performer here is Astrobot. keeping that rate of sales for a last year's game that is not GTAV, CoD and FIFA (now Hogwarts too). outselling MH Wilds and EA FC is kinda wild for Astrobot!
Hogwart's, Indiana, Astro Bot & Monster Hunter - that's a pretty nice top 4 once again.
I bet MachineGames are quite happy about the sales pouring in.
Sad that this kind of stuff was not included in the game. If there's a sequel, they better include all of this.
They got lazy and realized making two separate stories was Not going to be easy.
Man we need this in the game or in sequel please
I was expecting an RPG based on what they were saying over the years and instead got another boring open world game. Guess they chose to chase the mainstream rather than making the game too overly complex. I don't think I'll be buying the next game unless they add more ways of roleplaying as a student. Can't keep spending money on these AAA games that follow the same boring overused formula. Wasted potential and I can't help but feel disappointed.
It is an amazing game, a labor of love, looks great, and it delivered excellent value, if that's your thing too. I'm glad to see they explored some ideas, and I think they could be included in the sequel, which is definitely happening, because it's fucking Harry Potter, they are rebooting the movies, and IT'S HARRY POTTER! I teach middle school, and nothing is more popular since this came out - not Marvel, not Star Wars, and the only two things that have the stamina to be popular over many years past and future are Fortnite and Minecraft (source: anecdotal data from thousands of kids in a rural Midwestern school).
