Improved PSP gets even cooler new features

good news for the psp, i love mine i have a touch too but psp has the games, lets wait for psp is dead articles to roll in. seems like they've calmed down on the ps3.

I get loads of use out of both handhelds. I wish there was more you could do with Remote Play as it's a really great idea(maybe some good downloads of PS2 games with control ops for PSP added-just a thought, I'd love a way to play,say, Ico or SoTC from a hotspot)but many people just don't know what either the DS or PSP can really do while PSP needs more 3rd party love. Use mine, love mine and the more features the better.

I've thought about getting one for a while. $200 is a fair deal, and there are finally a bunch of good games too. I just hope they make FF VII available someday!

You can put it on your PSP with some slight modifications if you already own FF VII on PS1. Really you can do that with any old PSone game that you legally own. Sure you can do it with a whole lot more but I personally like to do things legally myself.

i often show them movies on my psp since i dont realy have the time to play games on it. and they often tell me "wow that's a realy clear image, i cant beleve it."

and i often beleve the psp is the ps3's newborn child with all the interaction they have between eachother. not only with remote play but with the UI and the ability to store music and photos on the psp memorie stick. and the black piano finish gives that extra ressemblance to go.

at the end of the day, when i show a ps3 owner what the psp can do. they often tell me " wow im defenitly picking one up now." and even for non-ps3 owners. people who own 360's or just people who are often on the go who loves movies will eventualy pick one up they say.

when it came to movies people were confused with the psp thinking you can only play movies from the umd, and maybe its sonys fault for not advertising there product enought on the features and abilities of both machines.

In fact,Im playing Smash Court tennis 3.awesome game ,btw. Theres lots of little gem games out for it.People forget that.I still go back to play Mgs portable,Ace Combat,Def Jam FFNY,GTA vice city stories.etc.we need more 1st party games for it,Im looking at you Polyphony Digital,give me GT mobile and my PSP will be with me forever lol

...and love it. My two boys already had PSPs so I'm no stranger to them but the new screen is so much brighter and features much improved colours.

However, I have said it before and I'll say it again remote play with the PS3 is the real winning ticket for me and I simply can't wait for them to release PlayTV in my part of the world.

Are the scan lines on the 3000 really that bad? That's what's putting me off upgrading to one from the 1000.

...I have not experienced any of the issues like those in the videos that have been posted on youtube. I have converted Wall-E across from DVD and it looked fantastic all the way through. I also play heaps of Super Stardust Portable and I still don't notice any problems.

Have also played Burnout, Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops, Capcom Classic Collection, Lego Batman and still have experienced any of the issues. If I were you I'd go into the store and ask for a demo and see it first hand and make up your own mind.

I'll see how much it'll cost to get my 1000 fixed, but I think I'll go for one of the 3000 models.

I love my PSP. It has been a bit scant in the good release department later, but honestly when you compare the best of the PSP (Crisis Core, Chains of Olympus, MGS: Portable Ops) they're simply so much better than what the DS puts out. That might just be my opinion of course, but I find it endlessly impressive when the PSP succesfully accomplishes it's goal of offering console worthy games.

so I AM like a kid just cause I play the DS?! Not thAT i disagree with that since most who purchase the DS are kids, but it does have classic games that even adults such as us would enjoy. I just started to see some life on my psp until i purchased other games such as lumines and potapon, which are great and addicting. I bought both just to have more variety just like i bought the ps3 and a wii together.

And I do alot with it. I download gaming podcast to my PS3 and then copy them to my psp and listen to it when I don't want to watch what my girlfriend is watching. I will be getting God of War for it but right now Iam having fun playing the Rachet and Clank game that came with it and since it has a built in mic I created a skype account which is free and called the Hiphopgamer,his a cool guy we talked for a little while (true story).

way back when i had a psp. i was out one night after work with friends and when i wasn't looking someone stole my backpack which had my psp in it! and the charger, and the pouch, and the games! i was pissed! then i thought, it's not all bad, i can get another one with more money! i haven't got one til this day and i come to think, it's a good thing i lost it coz i still want one and now i can get a 3000 version instead!

i say this coz i dont think i would of ever bought another one if i still had it.
