It's big hair. He's a biker that looks like he spends a lot of time in the hair salon. Nothing wrong with that but I suspect he's going against the grain of biker culture.

Hahaha, I hadn't seen in that way Rynxie, but it is totally a Karen haircut, oh boy!

As a long time Tekken fan, he looks like a trashy version of Terry Bogard from Garou: Mark of the Wolves. Just unappealing art in my opinion. It's not the hair.

Besides the fact, in the preview video, backgrounds are detailed but empty. No life. No people. No birds, no crowd. Just blah. No life. Same 2D plain. With DOA and Mortal Kombat extra areas that was done years ago.

I don't know. Maybe I've grown out of seeing the same fighting games again and again. With the only difference is all the flashy effects with attacks. But not a real progression on advancing the fight engine. Please don't add VR. It's not going to help.

I think that time has its toll on me, on how i view and feel toward games today compared to when i was much younger. However, this also means we are much more refined and selective, and we can immediately spot to goods and bads in games because afterall, we've seen it all. I liked to share this piece of mind for what it's worth.

So back to the topic, i agree with you, i too feel that Tekken-8 took only couple steps forward instead of making a leap. I didn't expect a major jump in gameplay, but i hoped for a significant visual update which i don't see.

Anyway, it is what it is.

What have they done to him. All they needed to do was copy his look from Tekken 3

Paul, much like Guile has always had stupid looking hair from day one. This current hairstyle is no different.

Snookies12811d ago (Edited 811d ago )

Lol, at least Guile's hair was based off a Jojo's manga/anime character Rudol von Stroheim. So, he has an excuse...

Vanfernal811d ago

Paul's hair is based on Polnareff...

Snookies12810d ago (Edited 810d ago )

@Vanfernal - I didn't realize Paul was a similar situation. I was never heavily into Tekken, to be fair. Tekken 8's Paul doesn't look anything like it though. If that is the case.

Harada mentioned that his usual hair can be added via customization.

The latest Karate Kid movie is headed to Tekken 8 in an interesting combination.

It's pretty much actual ads and nothing else. In game ads are being promoted as "cross overs"

Garethvk18d ago

Sadly it's all about the $$$$.

Christopher18d ago

Boy, that looks worse than I thought it would.

Garethvk18d ago

Let us not forget that Cobra Kai game.

Christopher18d ago

At least that was a game. This is just Time Square ad push on top of an existing game.
