Misleading. This gives the impression it's an overall price increase on PC when it's regional price increases.

I've already gotten my copy secured so I'm not worried about it :D

Vits811d ago

I really wish that publishers would understand that increasing the price in poorer regions will at the very best bring them lower sales. And on the very worst actually incentivize piracy of their game. That is doubly true when the world is passing through a recession.

Good-Smurf811d ago (Edited 811d ago )

Yeah I was confused why all of a sudden the price of RE4 Remake in Thailand went from 1,690 to 1,990 THB just few days ago.
Bad move Capcom now I'd just wait for a sale instead.
Or steamunlocked it since the game uses Denuvo, I can wait, its not like I'm starving for more RE4.

MadLad811d ago (Edited 811d ago )

Don't have to worry about packing and shipping. Don't have to worry about the used game market. The cost to keep your physical product on shelves of big name retail stores. And we still have most games covered in Microtransactions.

Your company; your rules. Doesn't mean, as a consumer, we still know something stinks.

Have to love modern day gaming.

I just find it funny that the uograde is so mandatory for game development when PC is still the same price compared to consoles and even Nintendo is only selecting their most highly anticipated game to get the price hike, which shows its total bullsh*t.

Some of the 3rd party stuff is up to 3rd party not the big 3 as far as I know. Some companies havent increased cause they cant. I mean they could but indie to smaller developer making certain types of games cant really go crazy with price. Really the only one i can think of recently is atomic heart but they had major buzz. Not sure how they got a way with it to be honest

It revolutionized third-person shooters, in a genius way that gives you full control of aiming.

CrimsonWing6912d ago

No, I mean RE4. Like the whole snap to over-shoulder and precision aiming was what I meant.

I won’t deny Winback does pave the way in some respect. But it’s not the same at all.

InUrFoxHole13d ago

Both are great series. That's awesome

Samonuske13d ago

I thought this was common knowledge. Resident Evil Revolutionised over the shoulder aiming in 3rd person shooters/action games

italiangamer13d ago (Edited 13d ago )

Influenced basically every third person action game made after it, GTA uses the over the shoulder perspective when shooting since the 4th installment, Red Dead Redemption 1 & 2 too and the Batman Arkham series has the over the shoulder perspective as the main camera throughout the whole game series.
Obviously there are a ton more examples but you get the point 🗿.

Simon's Quest is better than Symphony.

If you're gonna troll, at least make a legitimate attempt.

Levii_9222d ago

Hot damn that's a good list. The only one i never played is AOE2 and i never finshed Chrono Trigger but it was damn good.

Speaking of what's old but holds up amazingly well and plays like a dream.. i played Symphony of the Night for the first time in 2019.. yep that's right. It became one of my favourite games of all time that i replay almost every year. I couldn't believe how good it was. That is almost impossible for me with newer games let alone older ones. Truly a special gem.

LG_Fox_Brazil21d ago

That's a pretty fucking great list

__y2jb21d ago (Edited 21d ago )

The only one I’d disagree with is doom. It shows its age badly I think. After 5 minutes of play these days you put it down.
