It's the quality of the games that will make or break PlayStation VR2 - and launch titles supplied in the review period did not quite convince. Gran Turismo 7 was made available to journalists and public alike at the headset's launch - and it's a game-changer. In this video, John breaks down how good the VR upgrade is, and how Sony achieved it, with head-to-head comparisons with the standard 'flat' version of the game.
Fanatec just released a steering wheel inspired by a concept car that should be familiar to fans of Gran Turismo 7, the Porsche Vision GT.
With the Spec II update released on November 2, a new version of the remarkable AI (Artificial Intelligence) racing technology, Gran Turismo Sophy, has officially become available to play on Gran Turismo 7 (PS5 console only). The innovative next-gen race program, called Gran Turismo Sophy 2.0, was developed by Polyphony Digital, in collaboration with Sony AI.
Featuring three new cars, extra Café Menu, World Circuit Events, GT Sophy AI update, and more.
Wish they'd put a couple of endurance races in. Every time there's an update I have the cars and the events finished in 30 mins
"The next-generation racing AI agent, Gran Turismo Sophy has evolved into “GT Sophy 2.1” and is now available in ‘Custom Race’ (PS5 version only)
‘GT Sophy’ can now be selected as the rival AI in Custom Race on all GT Sophy supported tracks and layouts in World Circuits."
This should be fun to play with.
F*ck yeah it is... pardon my language. I played it in VR for the first time last night. I tried to get into VR1 but had issues. The VR2 is so awesome. No lens fogging, higher res and fps. And Rez Infinite made me feel like being in the movie lawnmower man.
Can't wait for more.
VR is the future and Sony has already got a head start.
Kayak VR is also amazing. A must for VR!
Yeah even DF is amazed. It's really the next step in racing. I think even the way I'm driving it's diferent. This is next Gen racing. Amazing job from PD and Sony.
Not just one of the best VR experience on PS5, one of the best VR experiences, period. It’s massively more immersive in VR, leagues better than GT Sport was on VR1 and easily one of the most complete virtual/simulation racing titles ever. So far VR2 is delivering the full meat VR quality PC users have been enjoying for years. Can’t wait to see what’s around the corner!
