You actually change seat position, height and how close or far away you are from the dash, in the options menu....
Flat mode or vr mode......

italiangamer796d ago

Seriously how the f*** those gaming journalists can miss something so basic in the game's option?! Freaking hell press options and look in the menu, you don't need to be Einstein!

IRetrouk796d ago (Edited 796d ago )

Yeah, surprised me too lol

Ninver796d ago

Except these people are not journalists. Just failed writers who settled for a B Grade pay job as game news informants.

Bevofrancis796d ago

There's no option to change seating position other than recenter the headset.

Sonic1881796d ago

Only real gamers would know this

dumahim796d ago

Team VVV is saying the same thing. He hasn't gotten VR yet, but he says he doesn't use cockpit for GT7 because he's dissatisfied with the view. Pretty sure they understand there's adjustments, but the adjustments available aren't enough.

IRetrouk796d ago

He literally states its not possible but it is, and it has various options, one for overall view, one for height and one for distance.

dumahim796d ago

@IRetrouk

As mentioned below and seeing comments elsewhere, the height/seating position cannot be adjusted in VR.

IRetrouk796d ago

Yes it can, all you have to do is use the function button to change the headsets position, if you want it further back you move back, if you want it higher you sit higher, then settle into the desired position and voila height and clossness changed

Yung-T796d ago (Edited 796d ago )

Have you actually tried that in-game with psvr2?

From what I've read on gtplanet and Reddit, the cockpit settings are actually greyed out in the vr version and you can only slightly adjust by moving your head and locking that state.

IRetrouk796d ago (Edited 796d ago )

The options no but once im back on it i will check and let you know, I used the headset position to get it to my preferred height and distance, you can even reset it with the function button, it does the same thing as the options.

Bevofrancis796d ago

He hasn't. He's got it wrong. If you want to change it by actually moving it's the exact opposite of what he's saying. Lower to get higher. Farther back to get closer.

IRetrouk796d ago (Edited 796d ago )

I apologise for getting the directions wrong, but I'm pretty sure people would be able to figure out what I ment and adjust accordingly.

Bevofrancis796d ago

No you can't. Not in the options menu.

Have just been playing it. Very cool. So good to do things like overtake someone, then watch them them through the side window until they appear in the rear view mirror.

Also quite surprised how strong the haptic feedback is in the headset.

Theses journalists need to ask Microsoft where Forza vr mode at instead of nitpicking Gt7 vr mode.

Neonridr796d ago

what does that have to do with the article? JFC

AgitUzumaki796d ago

Microsoft lives rent free in the head of some people.

franwex796d ago

Can’t you ask them yourself?

Top tip - skip straight to 5:55 in the video.

For those who don't want to waste time, the best part of the video starts at 7:19.

The Aston Martin Vintage?

Does the senior product manager not proofread?

andy8533d ago

Wish they'd put a couple of endurance races in. Every time there's an update I have the cars and the events finished in 30 mins

Babadook733d ago

"The next-generation racing AI agent, Gran Turismo Sophy has evolved into “GT Sophy 2.1” and is now available in ‘Custom Race’ (PS5 version only)

‘GT Sophy’ can now be selected as the rival AI in Custom Race on all GT Sophy supported tracks and layouts in World Circuits."

This should be fun to play with.
