Because you know better than the creators and director of the game. /s

Yes a developer who would have sold 500 game units is happy that MS gave them 1 mill to be on Gamepass.

I gotta go with gamepass on this I do think it does give excellent exposure for indies. I've seen the couple Xbox players at my shop talk about indies. I know these guys would've never tried without gamepass. If I'm a developer making my first game depending on what it is I'd gladly accept gamepass to a point. It's case by case basis.

Oh no! But what about the green inferno!?!?

I’ve never heard of the game. That being said those are perfect games for subscription services like gamespass or similar. Even without a ton of advertising if people try the game you get something. Not what you’d get from a sale, but something. If you have no faith in your title to sell, put it on there. If the game ends up catching on & it exceeds expectations then you LOSE money. Point is, this makes sense and is perfect for it.

I heard of it last week due to the Steam Fest 2023, I haven't tried the demo yet.

GP is great for indie exposure, and a great backup plan for AAA games that get overlooked by the market unfairly, suck as Guardians of the Galaxy.

With this said, I don’t need $15/month GP for AAA’s, or for indies really either.

My limiting factor for gaming is time, not money. I’ve had GP for years (mostly because they doubled the price of Live anyways….), and there wasn’t a single AAA game that I used GP for instead of playing on my ps5 for $70 with a better controller and video capture.

For AAAs I tend to know what I want to play.

But a GP just for indies intrigued me because I assume it would be cheaper. And, I’d expect to play more shorter $20 games then.
