Hogwarts Legacy PS5 And Xbox Series X|S Graphics Modes Unveiled

I'll start with 30fps fidelity, and if it's as smooth as most other adventure games I've played in 30fps, I'll stay. Otherwise I hope performance doesn't look crap on 85".

I always do the same. Single player games with stable 30 is good for me. Only time I changed to 60 was Cyberpunk couse it sucked in 30.

I had no issues at 30fps i H:FW, except the drooling and eye-orgasm I got from the graphics.

H:FW in fidelity is probably the best looking game I've played so far.

Pc has spoiled me for about 3-4 years. I came into PS5 with 60fps or noting. I just can't play 30fps anymore.

Yeah, I'm largely with you. There are a handful of games I can deal with lower framerates, but I still tend to not like any lower than 40fps. Primarily I'll do that on Steam Deck, and of course any Switch games where it is the sole option. But between PC and PS5, if I have to I'll sacrifice some bells and whistles to get the smoother framerate.

On the switch I can understand and their is something about playing on a smal screen that makes 30fps playable for example Skyrim I'm currently playing. But on PS5 playing on a TV 30 FPS is just unacceptable.

Occasionally there is a third-person game that, due to the speed the character moves, etc, 30 fps is okay. Based on the videos I have seen of this game, it looks like it will need to be 60 fps.

Unveiled, but not explained. Is it just a resolution drop? Is the graphical density paired back to achieve 60? This is what determines whether I choose 30fps and 60fps. Yes I will actually choose 30fps if the graphics look paired back.

This is why I'm building a pc in march, I will never have to choose again, on myltiplats at least. I'm just sick of it.

Really depends on what you are putting in your pc, if you want to run pretty much every game at highest setting at close to 60 fps with 4k and all the setting at max, you will only have one gpu choice and that's the 4090 paired with the top cpus from either amd or intel, even then some games aren't locked at 60 or over, they can still dip lower without compromising settings.

Obviously it will do better than the Ps5 and Xbox series x in all games but it is definitely not a certainty on over 60 fps with all the settings on on certain games, which in my opinion is insane considering the price of the components these days.

A 4090 will drive far above 60fps in most demanding games at 4k. You can do 4k60+ with a mid range 3000 series card if you're careful with the settings, and depending on how demanding the game is.

Games that are easy to run or moderately demanding will run over 60fps no problem with decent (not even high end) hardware too.

Limiting yourself to a 60hz 1080p screen these days with any mid range GPU that's 3000 series or above is a serious mistake, you should be 144hz plus at 1440p or 4k.

LOL...you'll have to choose at some point. PCs don't just run everything maxed out by default. Keeping your rig's hardware updated to always be able to do that is expensive as hell.

The main benefit of PCs is you generally have more control over what graphical options to tune down, vs. only having pre-defined settings.

Def gonna try the 4K@30 with RT. If it’s a solid 30 I’ll stick with that. This generation of games really pop when they’re firing at 100%.
But if the FPS dips or performance seems lacking, 60 FPS mode it is.
