One question, Have they been able to deal with the face sweat? That's the reason i don't play VR much, even with a fan installed.

From what I've heard, people only got to use it for 30mins at CES, so nobody has really commented on that. It does have a built-in vent on top, though, to get the heat out. This will presumably have the dual benefits of keeping your face cooler and preventing the screen fogging issues some get when putting a cold headset on a warm face.

I really want to know this too, because I use it for cardio sometimes and you can work up a proper sweat in some of those games!

The only person I know for sure will be okay, is Prince Andrew - I've heard he doesn't sweat...?

They did implement some sort of ventilation solution but honestly i didnt pay attention to that part much because I dont really sweat

The vr it's self is great for the first psvr. Just the move controllers are very dated now. Miles behind the inside tracking of the quest 2 and the Microsoft Windows Mixed Reality headsets and now psvr2.

Eh, I would say it's not worth it, and I say that as a day one buyer of the PSVR. The big things that killed it for me (and it wasn't the image quality as that was acceptable) was the constant need to recalibrate the outside lights using the camera (having to hold it and tilt it so the lights line up with the onscreen image, a pain in the butt if you didn't actually use it with a tv), having to recenter the screen way more than I wanted to, the times the camera lost the wands, the annoying as all hell drift when using it in cinema mode for regular games/netflix (the screen floats off to the side slowly as in that mode it doesn't use the camera for centering and the internal sensors had small amounts of drift that would have you end up facing the wrong way to try and keep it centered if you didn't periodically hold the recenter button).

Internal tracking like they have on this one basically removes that completed. The only thing that could have made PSVR2 better would have been removing the cable which they may do in a future revision (well, and adding a software translation of movement in cartesian space to allow V1 games on V2, but the control schemes would be all different so I can see what a hassle that would be). I'm still on the fence but the more I hear about it the more I get tempted...

I’m really hoping it lives up to billing. The hardware no doubt will, but the content needs to be there. Not just at launch but beyond. If they can pull that off then this will be really successful.

I'm hoping someone makes this work on PC, right now all headsets are either standalone with wireless connection (Quest 2, Pico 4), or very old and limited (Reverb G2, etc). PSVR2 has dream specs and a reasonable price (for the specs it has I mean, I think it's almost sold at cost with 4k screens, HDR, eyetracking, haptic feedback, it's ridiculous). This would make it a dream PC headset.

I really want the psvr2 as I love vr but I can't pay 600 for it, 549 with tax. I already own the quest 2 and rift s so I can wait for a price drop.

I was thinking of cancelling my psvr2 order a few days ago. But hearing all this positive feedback and the gt7 announcement. I'm keeping it and I can't wait for next month.

Sony’s booth was mostly PSVR2, I think Autel (next door) was getting more attention though since Sony’s reservation system capped before noon. It’s a nice step up. Wish they had more than Horizon to demo.

Can only order this from Sony in the UK. Gutted as l was looking to buy this on credit as I don’t have £530+. Will be a typical shortage, so I’ll have to wait two years or something. Won’t come close to PS4 VR sales due to the high price. But in the back of my mind, I’m thinking it’ll be swamped with mediocre games like PS4 VR.
