Just buy the package from virtually any key vendor online. Usually about $2, and you don't need to have Fortnite ads shoved down your throat to access the games.
You also won't have China farming your information.

Or you can just accept the freebie without any of the other things you mentioned.

Imagine using the internet probably with a smartphone and worrying about a games company having your email address.

What ever you’re scared of epic obtaining from you…. Literally every online company you’ve ever used as well as literally thousands of marketing companies that you’ve never had and dealings with at all or even know about. Have all your information already… and they’ve been selling it behind your back for over a decade now. I know, crazy right!

Welcome to the world.

The whole hate on Epic Store is beating a dead horse at this point.

MadLad885d ago (Edited 885d ago )

Yeah then also do that lol.
Bad things happen to you, therefore just happily let it happen more for a game that costs you two whole dollars.

Epic was just successfully fined for 600 million dollars for anticonsumer practice. Oh please, have all of my information as you want, daddy. Lol

Inverno885d ago

I never had to watch a single ad before getting a game on there, and I have over 300 free games since they started giving out games. And if anyone's worried about China framing info then they shouldn't be on the Internet at all.

anast885d ago (Edited 885d ago )

I would get Fallout 2, but the Epic launcher almost never works for me and I get tired of trouble shooting. Any way I'll probably just pick it up for 90 cents at GoG. Less hassle and I can own it.

Fallout 1 and Fallout 2 source code isn't actually lost, reveals former Interplay founder

Video Gamer: "Earlier this week, we released a story that the source code and in-development assets for both Fallout and Fallout 2 were lost. According to series creator Tim Cain, and as far as he knew, the source codes for both of the original games were destroyed. However, that’s not the case."

Then make them playable on consoles of today

anast25d ago

This is the comment of the month. I would like to play a good Fallout game on the PS5.

ziggyzinfirion24d ago

Exactly! So many games locked on PC. Developers need to step up their games

Too bad. People don't have sense of history.

Fallout and Skyrim show us that talented developers make great games when you leave them alone

That judicious lack of oversight permeated everything in Bethesda's RPGs, in a positive fashion.

I much prefer a left alone Obsidian and Larian Studios. Bethesda's formula has grown old for me.

anast39d ago

Larian hit another level with DOS:2 and then took it even further with BG3. They do high quality work.

Skyrim was a letdown compared to previous games and so was Fallout 4

Kosic39d ago

I agree, I found it an interesting game. But nowhere near worth the hype (unless you include mods)

dmonee39d ago

Skyrim blew my mind when it released. That game took me to the gaming, promisedland. Going back to it when it was updated for the PS5, it felt slightly rough around the edges, but great for its time

TheColbertinator39d ago

We should leave Obsidian alone. Bethesda on the other hand should be kept under constant psychiatric observation.

anast39d ago

Skyrim feels like the game was made in a hurry with a disorganized team.
