not a huge lost, altough cc ff7 is a really good game.
That’s because subscription services level out at a certain number. Apple, Netflix, HBO max etc. All fight and struggle to get new subscribers because, let’s be honest, humans are a limited resource. Then add in content availability, want vs need, consumer age and habits, and brand loyalty. Simply put once a company’s consumer base has reached saturation then sales slow. That’s what we are seeing with subscription services. All the people that want it have it. And for those that don’t probably can’t afford it, aren’t tech savvy, aren’t interested in the content provided, or isn’t their company of choice. Therefore sales slow
Xbox still 6 months away from putting out some actual exclusives. Will see what numbers do when Starfield comes out and if the activision deal closes.
Gamepass problem - no large AAA 1st party releases
PS+ problem - no day 1 releases and all the games on the higher tiers are just older games we’ve all played. Yet at the same time, the OLD games we’d like to go back and play from PS1 and 2 era that are hard to find or need an old console for, aren’t on there.
Both have issues.
