Is anyone truly surprised? All the trailers and videos they have shown for this game has looked exactly like a 5/10 game. Arkham knights on last gen even has better graphics than this, and even the gameplay of that feels better than this. It's a shame really, a big missed opportunity.

Suicide Squad is Rocketeady, but that game will also be underwhelming.

Most gamers don’t understand that the biggest companies want to move AWAY from fun, well made titles like Batman Arkham. They don’t want quality because, ironically, quality sells less.

It’s the Marvel movie method. Feel people consistently bad content and they’ll pay every time.

Different teams different way of making a game. Rocksteady did the good 3 Arkham games while this team I think did orgin who piggy back off rocksteady success. Trust rocksteady suicide squad over this team 4player game and team. You got disagreed for a reason so think about it.

It's definitely not about making mid content and feeding that to the market, although I wouldn't put it past some developers who know they simply don't have the talent to do better.

I think the issue is more and more companies are trying to get that hint of GaaS into their IPs so they can make money off of the franchises for years upon years, instead of Year 1....MAYBE Year 2, and then nothing.

The things is GaaS can be great when done right, the problem is most of these developers and studios don't have any experience in creating them, so they're going to fumble for the next 5 - 10 years with mediocre experiences, or at best a good experiences with good gameplay / story / graphics / performance.

There is some concern with Sony as well and their GaaS, but it's a godsend for them that they have Bungie on their side since Bungie has already gone through the 5 - 10 year learning process, so Sony has the experience needed to avoid most of the medicore and fails these games have, and at least still offer good gameplay / graphics / story / and performance.

Yeah. Gotham Knights always looked off. Everyone saying that it would be better than Suicide Squad were on something.

This is another instance of co-op ruining a game. I'm pretty sure that without this co-op constraint, WB Montreal would have made a solid game averaging 77-85 on Metacritic. They already had a framework with the Arkham series which could have been updated with improvements and maybe a twist on some of the series' conventions to produce a well-liked, big seller.

In Rocksteady's case, co-op doesn't seem to have ruined Suicide Squad but it has given them an 8+ year development time. lol. From the footage of the story and gameplay provided so far and their track record, I think Rocksteady have a much better chance of pulling this off though.

Could see this coming really.. soon as they said it was going to be multiplayer loot focused game. All the enemies look like absolute sponges and you're limited to like 2 abilities instead of the entire arsenal that Batman had.

I could get it for 35$ on PSN (benefits of gamesharing with friends) and i still would not deem it worth it (...) even with friends.

For me, a mediocre game remains as such no matter the price tag.
