actually like most company's they haven't gone back to the beginning of the year thats the problem with these game of the year rankings people only go back as far as 6 months..

Come on. Sky don't have a clue and this was obviously cobbled together in 5 quick pub minutes on the back of a beer mat and phoned in so they had a Xmas/end of year list. Don't get offended by him not knowing MGS4 exists when all he did was ask his mates in the pub.

Personally, though a good game by general standards, I think Fallout3 was the biggest let down of the year. We were led to expect a FPS/RPG hybrid that kept the orignal atmosphere of the franchise-we got loads of glitches(way to learn from your last game!), 2 borked combat systems and a weak main story arc. Yeah, I judge it harshly because of high expectations but GOTY? As I say-PUB STORY.
