Why Grand Theft Auto 6 Won't End Up Like the Saints Row Reboot

Although the Saints Row reboot hasn't landed well with fans, there's little reason to correlate that with GTA 6 despite some similarities.

Well rockstar already said they are set change the industry standards with GTA 6. Plus if you already saw Red Dead 2 fully realized world, then there is no doubt that GTA 6 will be a way way better game, than the poor man's version of itself which is Saints Row!

Yes it truly is a site to see! On the old PS4 and old Xbox One! 2 very weak consoles. It really put all these next gen open world games to shame! You definitely know that PS5 and Series X can do way more with all that power! I am glad Callisto Protocol will be one of the first games to show off some of the Unreal Engine 5 tech, with one of the most realistic looking characters on screen. Just imagine GTA 6 full simulation on steroids!!!

Rockstar is sort of industry leaders. I still have yet to see someone make an open-world game as dense as what they make.

My only thing is I’m hoping they won’t go too deep into censorship. I was hoping they’d be like South Park and push the envelope, but whatever… as long as things are sharply written and outrageous it’ll still be fun.

As much money as they've made off GTA5 they damn well better make it the best possible game they can. I've enjoyed the new SR quite a bit, but I think everyone expects GTA 6 to bea generational game. Especially since they will be selling updated ports of it for the next 3-5 generations. So they better hope it's good.

I live in hope as a long time die hard of rockstar games from the 90s up until recently.

However gta had a shift to focus more on the online component which has me feeling like long term fans who loved their games for being single player epics will be left out in the cold.

Also most of the people who make rockstar, rockstar have left including a large portion of the writing staff who penned pretty much all the 3d and hd era games.

We’ll see. Hopefully the people who moved up into positions of power to replace the veterans who left are fans of GTA. Modern Volition are not fans of SR, they were ashamed of SR and it shows. That was the entire issue.

I've been watching a lot of gameplay, and I've seen multiple analysis videos on this game now. From what I can tell Saints Row suffers from a problem that GTA doesn't have. The Saints Row fanbase is largely split between two groups.

One half prefers SR 1&2, where the story effortlessly goes from parody one moment to dark, hard hitting mature themes in the next. The gameplay was fun and hectic, but still somewhat grounded.

The other half prefer SR 3&4 where all seriousness goes out the window and Volition went straight parody and dumb crazy. From VR, to zombies, to clones, to aliens, they dropped all logic and went straight stupid. This side has its fans, but this direction is what led to the series losing its identity and nearly dying last time.

With the reboot they tried to appeal to both groups of fans by never fully embracing either side. But that makes the game a jack of all trades and a master of none. You can never please everyone. SR was at its best in SR2. They really needed to go back to that. But they were afraid of alienating newer fans, so instead they alienated nearly everyone.

Most of the OG GTA fans will have moved on if the rumors are true (dropping satirical stuff). Their online content will make gobs of money and the formula will go mildly changed. Enjoy clicking the dislike button on this

GTA6 will be loved for being a new game from Rockstar. Minus the crappy trilogy remakes Rockstar games are something to look forward to.

Mechanically and graphically it will be superior, but the characters and wokeness will be very similar.

I’m hoping for better enterable interiors devs need to step up in that area im tired of most good open world games not being able to interact with things etc, this is not 2004 anymore the ps4 could handle a lot but they under utilized it and I feel like they’re under utilizing ps5/seriesx I don’t want games to just look pretty n detail then boom that’s it let us be able to do different side things within those games

I think gta 6 will probably be the first gta that won’t be a classic cause gta v was held back tremendously all cause of boring online stuff no single player support I expect the same with this a great looking game with little to do knowing new rockstar smh

If you think GTA won’t have woke bullshit in it, you are mistaken. Saints row feels like a saints row game, got a couple stupid characters in it and not enough people walking the streets is all. As far as gameplay, world and missions go, it’s good. If you can look past some of its negatives, there is quite a bit of fun to be had

GTA will be good I’m sure, but don’t expect rockstar to not cater to all the woke nonsense going on lately. It’s becoming a sick trend. People afraid to stand up for themselves in fear of being smeared and accused of things they are not. Pretty sad
