So excited for this! Square’s really been hitting it out of the park lately.

Eonjay630d ago

Its like their productivity just trippled overnight. Its almost feels like Square's focus on its Western Studios was holding it back...

Ha, yea totally, but what I'm hoping Square will learn is people really like these older IPs and without anyone updating or changing the gameplay mechanics.

My real hope from all of these games is they'll take a risk and try to make a true next-gen version for some of these IPs. Front Mission being the biggie for me OR release Front Mission 5 so we can finally play that after all these years.

Can we get another FF tactics Square?

pietro1212630d ago

Umm stop reading my mind. I’d love a new Tactics game with Matsuno directing and writing again. I’m hoping the rumored remaster is coming out.

Chevalier630d ago

Its absolutely fantastic. Still tactical just different. Lots of special units, hidden items and special units.

Chevalier630d ago

I hope they release Ogre Battle March of the Black Queen before they do that.

pietro1212630d ago

I never played that one, how is it?

Bahamut-Shin630d ago

well since the leak has been proven to be true we are getting a Final Fantasy Tactics Remaster.

Relientk77630d ago

This and Final Fantasy Tactics are my 2 favorite
tactical RPGs. I'm picking this up day one and so glad there's a physical edition. I haven't played this classic since the PS1.

might pick this up, always wanted to play it

Review - Tactics Ogre: Reborn (Switch) | WayTooManyGames

WTMG's Thomas Medina: "For my money, Tactics Ogre: Reborn is the best version of the game to play. It’s the best looking and sounding version for sure. The soundtrack is especially a masterpiece. There’s also been plenty of tweaks and adjustments to the gameplay, all for the better in my opinion. It balances things out, adds new depth to minute to minute gameplay, and cuts down on grinding. That being said however, I can’t help but feel this is a game that time has passed by. It feels like a product of its time, with newer games doing the same things, but better. Especially Triangle Strategy, a game I now recognize takes a lot of cues from this title. It’s still a good game, and worth playing for people curious about the history of the genre. Beyond that however, I just don’t see the hype. "
