Winx Club: Mission Enchantix has arrived for Nintendo's DS a little late, as the 4kids TV cartoon it's based on has been on and off the air in the States for the past few years, and currently looks like it might not ever make it back to a regular Saturday morning spot. It's a fair game overall, as though its shooter-based story mode is only mildly improved over the last DS Winx title, its selection of mini-games and well-realized Magic Closet mode help to improve the appeal of the overall package. But Mission Enchantix would have had to make much more major progress than this to really bring the Winx Club back into the spotlight, so it's likely that this will be the girl's last appearance on Nintendo's handheld. Fans, enjoy one last trip to the club. It'll be closing its doors for good soon enough.

The Department of Electronic Entertainment writes: "We’ve all heard the legends of an NES cartridge that was only made for a Nintendo promotional event, or the old Atari 2600 game that was never mass produced, and now they’re worth thousands of dollars. If you got your hands on one of those limited run games decades ago you’d be able to sell it for a fortune today. Unfortunately, most games steadily drop in resale value from the minute they hit the market. Still, there are a few that actually increase in resale price after release, and many of these have distinct factors in common. Here are a few games that have gone up in value over the years, and some tips on how to guess which games will make the best investments." *The U.S. DoEE is a humor site, not affiliated with any government agency.
Winx Club: Mission Enchantix is best described as a missed opportunity. Konami had a very strong franchise from which to derive good ideas, but they instead decided to stick too closely to the basics and release a game that very few fans of Winx Club or newcomers will find enjoyable.

"Winx Club: Mission Enchantix wasn't a game that I requested, but I'm glad that I ended up with it. So many games for girls lately have been fashion and makeup only. This one proves that you can put the adventure in with the fashion and still make it a lot of fun."
