As Dusk Falls Review - IGN

As Dusk Falls' interactive crime drama is a masterwork of branching storytelling where decisions matter and repeated playthroughs are rewarded with even more revelations.

Did not expect this from IGN.
I will give it a shot asap.

You didn't expect a high score from IGN?

Mobis-New-Nest443d ago (Edited 443d ago )

For a company that gave The Masterpiece First Person Shooter known as Doom 2016 a 7.1 and then the insulting score of 5.9 to Alien Isolation, the greatest science fiction survival horror I have ever played. This comes as shock they gave this game a 9.

@Mobis

But you're just highlighting odd outliers. This seems like an easy crowd-pleaser that many were excited about, so it's practically a lock for a 8-9 from them imo.

The general consensus is that it's a great story with good acting and characters, but almost ruined by awful pacing after Chapter 2 until the end of the game (which means it has awful pacing for most of the game). Still worth a play IMO.

I haven’t had a chance to play it yet but with kindafunny promoting it so heavily and a score this high with not high production values makes me think that this storyline is very woke to appeal to critics when most adults will find it takes them out of the story because it’s so obvious when a dev tries to push an agenda, regardless of which one.

Glad it's getting good reviews. 👍🏽
Looking forward to playing it.
Looks like it could be a sleeper hit

Great review!

I can´t wait to play it co-op with friends and family.

I do find the art style jarring but I'll still give this a chance

Grabbed the Quarry, Riders Republic, and Cult of the Lamb.

Normally I'd grab on PC first, but they're on sale now for Xbox and I'll be out of the area for a while for work. Might as well have a few new games to play.

JayRyu300d ago

Enjoy the games!

I'm going to purchase Tunic, A Plagues Tale, and The Quarry.

MadLad300d ago (Edited 300d ago )

Played through the first two you mentioned. Great games. Hope we both enjoy the Quarry. Heard good things, and I've liked past games their put out.
