VGChartz’s Evan Norris: “Capcom once again proves its arcade credentials with Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium. With 30+ games, an embarrassment of customization options, and plenty of opportunities to play casually with local friends or seriously for online high scores, it’s a rock solid collection both for arcade enthusiasts and old-school players. Its value proposition drops sharply if you already own previous Capcom anthologies released in the past four years, and it’s missing both a digital museum and any support for online multiplayer, but overall it’s a feature-rich compendium with a fairly diverse line-up of interesting games, some of which are truly excellent.”
“It's that time of year again; our Game of the Year Awards have begun and to kick things off, here are the best retro titles from 2022.” - A.J. Maciejewski from Video Chums.
Richard writes: "There is a more varied overall list of games in the Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium compilation than the first, but more repeated titles."
"We recently reviewed the first Capcom Arcade Stadium, a collection of 32 arcade classics from Capcom's heyday. Now Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium has launched on all platforms (a few hours late on consoles), bringing with it another choice batch of 32 arcade games. The base game is free to download and comes with SonSon, a run-and-gun shooter based on the famous Chinese novel, Journey to the West. The remaining titles can be purchased individ ually or via bundle, at last. Better late than never!" says Co-Optimus.
