YouTuber Showcases Early PS3 Devkit and Vita Prototype

A recent YouTube video gives us a great look at an early PS3 devkit and a PS Vita prototype that looks incredibly unwieldy.

When i said o my God i meant wat a monster of a machine and the hardware inside is mindboggeling. And neoridr you are right it had idd a split Ram but together is was 512mb ram. But it had the emotionengine on board and that was a burden for third party developers to code for. That was also the end as systemengineer for Ken Kutaragi.
Luckely for the PS4 (and the PS5) that little genius Mark Cerny took over, and he made it for developers much and much easyer to code for the PS4 and 5.....

I still can't believe how games such as the Uncharted Series, Demon's Souls, Dark Souls, GTA 5, MGS4 and 5 ran on a system with just 256mb ram.

I believe the system had 256, but the GPU also had 256. Whereas the X360 went with 512 of unified RAM.
