It’ll be $70, that’s the next-gen price for games.
The only variation of this I’m seeing are things on Xbox are mostly $60 (not EA or Activision games) everything on PS5 is $70. I don’t believe that will last for Xbox, but next-gen pricing is $70. 100% guarantees this will be $70.
@Crimson Apologies, I may have been unclear, I meant $60 vs $70 - I'm not expecting it to be sub 'full price'. Will it be $70? I dunno. Village next-gen wasn't, but that was also a cross-gen game whereas RE4 won't be. On the other hand, Capcom has been extremely consumer friendly the past few years, so lets see.
@RickRoland Not everything is about TLOU1. There are other games out there. It sounds like you yourself are insecure about the price.
See, this is where the industry showed just how scummy this price hike was. There’s absolutely 0 justification for it other than they’re pushing to see what they can get away with. No other media has gone up $10 and I don’t care how they try to justify it, the fact they had two different pricing points is proof it’s complete BS.
Look at this though, last-gen version of Modern Warfare 2 is $70. If anything I can see next-gen versions being $70 and last-gen versions being $60, but once this cross-gen crap is done you’ll be paying that next-gen price for everything.
The MW2 thing is a complete farce, especially after recent CODs being $60 for last gen - it's even $70 for PC. But also not surprising given it's Bobby Kotick + Activision.
Yes please and support physical as much as possible because once our only option is digital y'all can just imagine how greedy these publishers could become
I agree but i don't think you should worry about physical games going away anytime soon now maybe once PS6 & Xbox Series X 2 gets here then maybe you should start worrying because i do think at some point Sony & Microsoft will make digital only game systems
I don't think the proper way to preserve videogames is companies reselling you old content, time and again, every generation or so. The free upgrades they just rolled out were nice, but these sorts of updates are still a new thing that came from the next gen refreshes and forward. Waiting to see if the majority of the industry just use it as another way to make some profit moving forward.
This article has a tinge of irony considering what they just tried to pull with Resident Evil 2, though they rightly went back on it. Doesn't even mention it, strangely.
You mean the dlc you have to pay for? Hey, we should commend Capcom for that though, right?
All sarcasm aside, the devs who took the time to make the dlc do deserve to be compensated for their time and effort. But, it is gamerant, and this site has zero integrity, so they have to make bait articles, big upping other devs, will being condescending toothers.
100% agree. It was also nice to see a trio of free upgrades after all the paid upgrades and $70 games of recent times.
Let’s see how they price RE4.

also 100% agreed.
