Microsoft Chief Executive Officer Satya Nadella shared a bullish report on the performance of the Xbox gaming business also on PlayStation.
I'm kind of hoping they drop most hardware support here with a 'good enough console' next generation and focus more on being a publisher. Obviously that is doing well for them and they can still push cloud gaming since it's going to tons of smart TVS and devices. They're now the largest video game publisher in the world, if they aren't doing the most sales and pre-orders, then they would be in trouble. They aren't.
“We continue to transform the business and focus on margin expansion as we bring our games to over 500 million monthly active users across devices. We ended the quarter as the top publisher by pre-orders and pre-installs on both Xbox and PlayStation Store.”
Amazing news!
Xbox reigning within rival territory.
Big slap in the face of haters who used to crap on Xbox´s games and its quality.
We brought two of the biggest publishers in the world, cost thousands of people their livelihoods and consolidated a huge part of the industry, look how successful we are at gaming!

Remember folks there's 0 good reasons to preorder any games but a hundred good reasons to wait at least a week after launch.
Its all bs.
I dont buy sports games yearly but ill buy nba 2k once in awhile. Started a my career and the whoring out and amount of microtransactions that have came to this game. I knew it was bad with the vc and all but now they got plugs that dont make much sense. State farm is in it. Ots kinda sickening to see to be honest.
I know this is F2P but why can publishers just release a full game at launch and than do expansions later. Now fully priced games have MT
NBA 2K is just a casino and you should see the amount of people coming into GameStop buying it day one. Many even want the highest priced edition, these are the same gamers who will buy NBA, MADDEN AND COD every year
GTA6 would have released by now if GTA online wasn't printing money
You know a market crash is near when big publishers like EA and UBI are openly looking to merge/acquired
The only thing that will reset the market to it's default is a crash and with greed it will happen a lot sooner than most of us think
Dont blame the microtransations, blame the idiots who spends money on them.
