Wow, Edge are usually pretty stingy with scores, but they gave Astro Bot a 10. It really shows just how fantastic that game really is, getting universal acclaim.

solideagle257d ago (Edited 257d ago )

Most of the time Edge gives Nintendo games high score, I am assuming they like Platformers?

Kudos to Team Asobi and Sony for this masterpiece though

coolbeans257d ago

See, I feel like you unintentionally stumbled upon one of Edge's main review issues: "they." Since it's not easy to know which critic(s) played what, it's tougher to grasp which elements make someone feel annoyed or excited. A pet peeve for you may carry more weight for me and vice versa.

Yet they have Outlaws a 7 which is super generous from them

I’ve seen them call other games for less

coolbeans257d ago

Certainly suspicious in light of Space Marine 2 netting a 6. I'm 99% confident it's more polished than my recent experience with Outlaws.

DazaMc257d ago

Well deserved, you would think the game would have been on the front cover though.

sagapo257d ago

A well deserved 10 for Astro Bot imo.

lukasmain257d ago

I'm dying for more Astro Bot content. Can't wait until more speed run levels come out in the following few months

The_Hooligan257d ago

I just got the plat yesterday. I hate those dam birds that get shot at you like missiles. But still loved every single level. Can't wait for the free update with more levels coming soon.

Astro’s pure video game. Good gameplay, pacing, design. There’s something refreshing about it. In comparison, I recently started FFRebirth and was already feeling open world intel burnout by Junon. Theres definitely still a place for linear games.
