Games Asylum: "What we have here is a cutesy, non-violent, affair with 8-bit style visuals and a delightfully upbeat authentic-sounding chiptune soundtrack. We imagine it’s meant to mimic the look and feel of a NES game, but we’d argue the Master System is a closer comparison due to the brightness of the visuals – a lot of bold colours are used throughout; not the colour palette you’d associate with the NES."
Dave writes: "Dandy & Randy DX is like Grandma’s cooking. You’ve tasted it time and time again, and it doesn’t feel like it’s changed, but it tastes so good."
"Ratalaika is a publisher whose games fall into two basic categories: inexpensive, perfunctory games whose main selling points are easy Achievements, and retro games. Dandy & Randy DX definitely falls into the first category. It’s a cynically produced puzzle action game with cutesy graphics and decent co-op. If you’re going to buy a game just for Achievements or Trophies, it might as well have co-op, right?" says Co-Optimus.
