Game Focus Review: Legendary

Game Focus writes: "A first person shooter with a story not about a ex-special forces or current commando who is out to save the world for king and country? Yes that is right, Legendary the Box from Gamecock Media Group is one of those games which has a great back story in a common game genre. The basic story is one that a secret organization has hired a thief to break into a museum and open Pandora's Box. The legendary item from ancient Greek lore who is said to hold the evils of mankind as well as the hope to defeat them. Well things go very well until you open the box, but with opening the box ancient mythical creatures such as Griffins, Werewolves, Golems and more are unleashed across the world and from all accounts they are winning the fight against humanity."

Pros:

+ You get to fight monsters with guns and its fun
+ Music is great, a heavy metal soundtrack influenced by Iron Maiden maybe...
+ Story, short and needs to be longer to have more of an effect on the player
+ Voice overs, for what there are, are decent
+ Monster AI and Enemy AI are smart, brutal and efficient
+ Multiplayer has a good potential concept

Cons:

- Short game - it needed to be longer to have a more in depth story
- Graphics just are not of the quality for a new game, plus some slow downs
- No one is playing multiplayer
- Overall presentation is low
- AI of the soldiers with you are dumb, blind and sissies
- Very linear, more linear then anything we have seen in a decade?

G-Phoria '09: Game Most Deserving Of An Uwe Boll Movie

NOTHING deserves a Uwe Boll movie. That guy is simply atrocious at everything he does. I can't believe how he can make a move so stupid, I'm not kidding I got sick after watching House of the Dead. It's like he actually wants to fail. A monkey with a camera and 10 bucks can make a better movie than this guy.

"Until the law was changed in 2005, Boll was able to acquire funding thanks to German tax laws that reward investments in film. The law allowed investors in German-owned films to write off 100% of their investment as a tax deduction; it also allowed them to invest borrowed money and write off any fees associated with the loan. The investor was then only required to pay taxes on the profits made by the movie; if the movie loses money, the investor got a tax writeoff."

And in his own words, "Maybe you know it but it's not so easy to finance movies in total. And the reason I am able to do these kind of movies is I have a tax shelter fund in Germany, and if you invest in a movie in Germany you get basically fifty percent back from the Government."

He basically makes money even if its crap, which all of them have been.
