THEY’RE BACK TO SAVE THE WORLD
It’s been a long time since we’ve been treated to a new Ghostbusters game for consoles and PC. In 2019 we got a decent, but incomplete remaster of arguably the best one so far – Ghostbusters The Video Game, but before that, all we had was the painful memory of 2011’s abysmal Sanctum of Slime, a game that is best left forgotten. Now, developer Illfonic is “back to save the world” with a brand new title Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed.Events in the game take place shortly after the recent movie; Ghostbusters Afterlife. Winston Zeddemore has reformed the Ghostbusters and he’s hiring new blood. Teaming up with friends, you will take on the paranormal hoards in a 4 Vs 1 asymmetric multiplayer game (think Resident Evil: Project Resistance). The fifth player will be in control of the ghost and their task will be to possess items in the play area, scare NPCs, and use rifts to re-spawn and avoid the Ghostbusters. If the area reaches 100% haunting, the ghost wins.
