TeamXbox: Gears 2 Combustible Map Pack Impressions
When a good game is about to come out, there’s a buzz of activity and chatter, as players make their plans to buy the title (and plan out the timing for getting on line for the midnight sale, if it’s a really big game) and making time to play. After it comes out, if it’s compelling, maybe it’ll stay in their system for weeks as they spend their spare time getting deep into the game world. If it offers durable multiplayer, they might be jumping on servers for months for epic battles.
That lifespan gets further expanded if the publisher delivers fresh map packs some time after the game’s release. Indeed, that’s what happened today when Microsoft and developer Epic Games shipped the first add-on for Gears of War 2, the Combustible Map Pack.
