Dying Light 2 Beginner’s Guide – Lawod

Dying Light 2 is a large-scale open-world game with a plethora of activities, tasks, and challenges to do as you explore Old Villedor. With tips and methods we've gathered from our many hours with the game, we'll help you get started parkouring and dropkicking zombies faster in this Dying Light 2 beginner's guide.

Take it easy.

Dying Light 2 is not in a hurry. You'll be on rails for a while, even after a lengthy introduction/tutorial. Even when the city of Old Villedor opens up, your level and low stamina will limit you, and you won't have many options for activities.

Everything else about Dying Light 2 is far more studied, as hectic as navigating the city with your parkour talents is. For dozens of hours, mechanics like the paraglider or even a ranged weapon will not be introduced.

It's all on purpose. If you accept this and take your time, everything will run more smoothly. Investigate and explore the city. Take on a few side tasks. Some strangers need to be rescued. On its own timeline, meet the game.

The XP you've gained for parkour and combat skills, as well as the activities you've completed around the city and your overall progress, are reflected in your character's level. It's safe to assume that leveling up is gradual, given that we finished the game at level 6 after roughly 50 hours. It also implies that there is a significant difference between level 1 and level 2. Your level has an impact on the stuff you can scavenge or buy, therefore it's a decent indicator of how much damage you can take.

The upper left corner of the map has a level for quests and other activities (as well as the opponents you face there). When tackling them, use it as a guideline for your level – zombies at your level will be a tremendous problem and can quickly overwhelm you, so anything higher will be deadly.
