Wordle Like Educational Game – Globe Game

The Wordle craze isn't going away anytime soon. The amount of clones and spin-offs created by others who were inspired by the simplicity of the daily puzzle game is one of the nicest side effects. Globle, a geographic interpretation of the form in which you must guess the day's chosen nation, is the most recent to capture our interest (and there have been many others).

The UI design is quite familiar, as it is in many games created in the wake of Wordle, but what you actually accomplish in Globle is entirely different. Your daily challenge, given the entire globe, is to predict the selected country out of a possible 197. To make this remotely plausible, the game employs a "Warmer! Hotter!" method, which involves the program marking typed-in countries on the globe in various colors of red—the closer you are, the deeper the rouge.

While Wordle only allows you to make six guesses, Globle allows you to make an endless number of attempts to find the proper country. The only limit is how much humiliation you can take before crashing off the edge of the continent in desperation.

It's Abe Train's idea, and it's a very well-made little game that gives you the same gratification as being able to copy and paste your spoiler-free findings to social media to upset that one grumpy relative who can't handle scrolling. The disadvantage is that you must have a rudimentary understanding of world geography.
