Final Fantasy VII The First Soldier's second season has begun, and it's introducing some new content and features into the mix. Featured most prominently are a new boss in the form of Bahamut and the new "Dragoon" style.
Square Enix has announced via Twitter and its official website that Final Fantasy VII The First Soldier will have its service terminated on the 11th of January, 2023 at 07:00 UTC.
I mean it is a battle royale, so being mobile did give it the best shot possible to not be a failure.
But, Square-Enix lack of a marketing department striked again.

just look at diofield chronicles and valkyrie profile elysium. You'd hardly know both those games came out recently because of Square's lack of marketing effort. So it's not shock that first soldier suffered

it was alot more conplex and a console release would have been much better for the controls

I'm not talking about controls here. Especially because I agree that anything is better than touch inputs for an action-focused game. But market-wise mobile is the place for a new battle royale.
I had no idea what this game was about, nor what type of game it was. I just saw the game by chance on somewhere.
Hopefully it's a lesson leaned and they will put Ever Crisis day 1 on consoles as well.
Welp, that was quick. I played a few games and it was alright. I did enjoy my Cactaur costume, though.

I expected a flop and I haven't heard anybody talk about it.
My friend says it's really good but honestly, it's the FF BR game nobody asked for and mobile too.
Today Square Enix hosted a livestream to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Final Fantasy VII, with several reveals dedicated to the franchise.
They also teased news for Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 2 possibly coming this year.
I wish the logo art was done by Yoshitaka Amano. I’m not a giant fan of Nomura’s art and it just seems weird seeing someone else do the logo art.
i like his art style, but i dont like him as a director.
but art is art. both are incredible
i know they wont do it at this point, but those kinds of games have incredible console potential
