And so the hype for GT7's competitor begins!!!

dbcoops1283d ago (Edited 1283d ago )

Since you brought up GranTurismo, GT already has far superior car physics modeling in terms of vehicle roll, suspension, g forces, tire wear, etc. Forza has a lot of catching up to do in that department, I would temper the hype.

OptimusDK1283d ago

Well no collision and you know nothing about what Forza will bring to the table. But is has been leages over Gran Turismo which is just old news.

itsmebryan1283d ago

Why don't you wait for the games to come out before you make claims. It would be the first time people got disappointed by making unfounded claims.

dbcoops1283d ago (Edited 1283d ago )

@ OptimusDK

Yeah that's some amazing collision damage right there, 20mph into a barricade and one taillight goes out and that's it, LOL. I know what Forza has brought to the table and it pales in comparison to the GT series in regards to car physics and I think you meant leagues not "leages" but you'd still be wrong.

dbcoops1283d ago

@itsmebryan

You're right I should have waited until one day after the games launch to make a claim.

That is an interesting boast as we know nothing about Forza, yet. Why don't we wait to see what they feature before saying which one is superior.

dbcoops1283d ago

@Clonetrooper1139

So you're saying we should temper the hype just like I said, thank you.

DJStotty1283d ago (Edited 1283d ago )

@dbcoops

"GT already has far superior car physics modeling in terms of vehicle roll, suspension, g forces, tire wear, etc."

You have seen footage of the upcoming Forza Motorport???? please share

"I would temper the hype."

Which is why i said the hype begins, right??

EazyC1283d ago

And Gran Turismo has a lot of catching up to the likes of ACC and iRacing in terms of physics, tyre mods etc

dbcoops1283d ago

@EazyC

Literally has nothing to do with the conversation but since you brought it up so does Forza, so your point?

BenRC011283d ago

Maybe but it's also incredibly dull and hasn't moved on since gt3. Forza has always been way more fun to play

Dude, this was about forza, but you had to bring Sony into this... And start something. And no, they arent the same. Maybe when they take that rewind crap for kids that don't like to lose.. . It could start from there.... Now is just another arcade racer but not open world.

DJStotty1283d ago (Edited 1283d ago )

Forza Motorsport is a racing sim, not arcade.

GT7 articles have Sony fans comparing to Horizon, how is this any different?

dbcoops1283d ago

"You have seen footage of the upcoming Forza Motorport"

Have you? My comment is based on history your hype is based on nothing.

DJStotty1283d ago

My hype is based off the trailer linked above?

solideagle1283d ago (Edited 1283d ago )

Gran Turismo team can only wish they can achieve 90+ Meta again :p

Atticus_finch1283d ago

Gt will have to settle with being better selling, superior detailed, realistic, FIA official and the best online racer.

Om4ever1098d ago

Not a lot of agrees ... Read again your statement

darkrider1283d ago (Edited 1283d ago )

I think Microsoft would dream that any forza sold like the worst gt... And wasn't force to talk about laps taken, miles done and players that rent the game...

solideagle1283d ago

I agree with you that GT is bigger than Forza! I was just referring to Meta ratings which has been dropping for GT each iteration.

Orchard1283d ago (Edited 1283d ago )

That's weak logic really, unless you're a shareholder and not a gamer.

If you are playing the game, reviews are more important than sales, and we should care more about those.

I hope it's a return to form for Forza Motorsport, it hasn't been good since 4 in my opinion.

StarLink1283d ago

Both Forza M and Grand T will compete mostly to see who has the better raytracing implementation.

BenRC011283d ago

While anyone who actually likes fun and not spooging over realistic indicator stalks will be playing fh5

LoveSpuds1283d ago (Edited 1283d ago )

I'd take a new Project Gotham Racing over Forza personally, PFR3 on 360 remains one of my fave racing games.

In respect of sim racers though, I think that GT has the edge over Forza in respect of physics and depth, but I always felt that Forza does a better job in respect of AI. I alway get a good race in Forza whereas I find the AI in GT is either too easy or ridiculously good and I spent so much time tweaking settings to get a good racing experience.

Forza Motorsport is more to my taste than Horizon so I am excited to see how this turns out.

BenRC011283d ago

Fh5 is pgr. And motorstorm, and driveclub and all those fab old racers mashed together

What a joke... wonder how long until FM23 with RTGI is compared with GT7 on PS4, though? Also which game will look better?

Best Racing Game of 2023

VGChartz's Craig S: "2023 was something of a strange and surprising year for the racing genre, at least when it came to our Nominees for Best Racing Game of 2023. There were unexpected changes to long-established series, fruitful reunions, and highly unexpected returns. The WRC license went to EA and subsidiary Codemasters for the first time in over 20 years, resulting in one of the most acclaimed WRC titles in years; the mainline Forza Motorsport series made its long-awaited return after a gap of six years; F-Zero went one further by getting a new entry almost 19 years(!) after the last one; and Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 built upon the solid foundation of the first title to create a new series that's not to be slept on."
