This is not what I would call value for money spent. They give you quests in liveservice games to get you "re-engaged" with the monetization schemes or to get you hooked or so you at least spend some extra on skins and loot boxes. Then they dole out paltry points after you have already paid extra for whichever liveservice within a liveservice that you are already paying for. My worry is people can't actually be that stupid to fall for this, can they?

Absolutely nothing in this comment makes sense. At all.

anast640d ago (Edited 640d ago )

How does it not make sense? O thy god of reason, shine some evidence upon us. Ryse of Rome, ESO,and AC: Origins are all live service games, between them you can get 275 points. Liveservice games are made to keep people spending. Therefore, Gamepass is a live service and the points are for playing live service games.

It is not my problem that this does not make sense to you, it is absolutely your problem. I mean it is all your problem.

Hate Xbox but comments in every Xbox article 😂 without making sense smh

Bring the evidence and then your emoji might make sense.

Hyper Light Drifter game, lets go! PS4/5 please!

CrimsonWing69754d ago

How did you come to this conclusion exactly?

Stanjara754d ago

Ok, so it has advanced abilities and mechanics, but visually and gameplay wise I mean...
wtf, why did I replied!?

CrimsonWing69754d ago (Edited 754d ago )

Visually it looks nothing like Onimusha. Gameplay wise, I’m not sure where you’re getting the connection from… like you’re saying because you swing a sword and have advanced abilities it’s a spiritual successor to Onimusha? That’s like saying a game where you shoot a gun and have healing items is like Resident Evil.

Onimusha was initially Resident Evil set in feudal Japan. Sure they decided to make it it’s own IP due to differences similarly to what they did to Devil
May Cry when that was initially RE4.

Is there back tracking and puzzle solving? Do you use red orbs, blue orbs, or yellow orbs to refill health, magic, and level up?

I’d even argue aesthetics is important when making connections to a game series. I don’t see that at all here.

Also, aren’t spiritual successors literally the creation of a game from previous developers that try their best to recreate the game as a new IP without breaching copyright laws? Bloodstained is a good example of a spiritual successor to Castelevania.

I dunno, man. I don’t see the connections at all.

Also, wtf, I have no idea why you replied…

Stanjara754d ago

I completely agree!!! Sorry but i figured you replied to my post. I said HLDrifter and than I saw - how did I get that conclusion?. My bad.

CrimsonWing69754d ago

Ha, no worries.

I completely agree with you that it looks more like Hyper Light Drifter. I was responding to the editor of the article.
