Star Wars Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader, a Twenty Year Reunion

WTMG's Leo Faria: "It might be hard to play Star Wars Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader in an official way in 2021, but this is a game worth experiencing. I cannot believe this titan, as well as the GameCube as a whole, is now twenty years old. It is the pinnacle of Star Wars in video games, possibly the best game available for Nintendo’s purple lunchbox, and one of the best games of all time. Simple as that. No need to beat around the bush. Happy twentieth anniversary, Rogue Leader. You are damn near perfect and will forever be."

I'd love to see a remaster trilogy at some point.

there was one in development... sort of. But it was for the Wii so it wasnt going to be in HD but it would have had proper widescreen and progressive scan support.

But as far as a full HD remaster... most definitely. Id feel that Aspyr could do it seeing as they have been doing other SW properties recently.

this was the game that got me hooked on the gamecube. Funny story but I had won a gamecube from my office xmas party and my wife had also bought me one for xmas. The one she got me was the platinum edition and the one I got from the office was the black edition that was bundled with star fox adventures (costco bundle w/strategy guide). I kept the black and returned the platinum in exchange for some games. Namely Rogue Leader and Luigi Mansion.

I remember when this launched for some reason the stores got the launch games in about a week before the actual console came out. I used to sit in my bed every night looking at the instruction booklet because that's all I could do waiting for the console to release.. lol

This is the main reason i wish i had kept my gamecube.

I still have my Gamecube copy just in case ;)

Star Wars is Best Suited for AA Gaming, Not AAA

WTMG's Leo Faria: "This piece wasn’t meant to say that Star Wars‘ gaming future is ruined forever, nor that there isn’t a chance for a good AAA Star Wars game to come out in the near future. I need to reiterate that, yes, I’m looking forward to Jedi Fallen Order. Then again, as a massive Star Wars fan, like most of you I miss the days when we would get loads of titles a year, each one focused on one specific feature of the franchise. I’d rather have a slew of smaller Star Wars games being released every year, some good and some not as good, than one big generic title being released every two years. These are always at the risk of being criticized due to typical AAA practices like expensive season passes, cut content, or microtransactions. Had Disney allowed for anyone, especially mid-range developers and publishers, to bring their creative and risk-free ideas to life, I’m sure fans would have rejoiced. And Disney’s pockets would most certainly fill up faster than nowadays."

Just give me a Baldies remaster and we'll call it even, nice to see Tony Hawk on the list though, loved that game!

Dead space, Ninja garden, Star Wars The force Unleashed.

My 5 games series would be :-

Maybe even sneak a Max Payne in there too?
