Or you could just buy them outright on steam

Sayai jin1308d ago

Nice logic. One should always look to pay more for their products. Smh...

Terry_B1308d ago

yeah...because buying something and renting something is the same thing ^^

phoenixwing1308d ago

To complete some of these rpgs might take months and if you like them enough to replay them owning them is a better option than a renting service where the games don't stay permanently

@Phoenixwing

Dragon Quest has been on there for nearly a year now, plenty of time to play it and complete it.

Game pass does not stop you from buying those games. In fact, game pass gives you a discount on games on game pass. So it would actually be cheaper.

"owning them is a better option than a renting service where the games don't stay permanently"

Right. But playing the game on GP doesn't prevent you from also buying it. If anything you can try it out first and see if you like it, then buy it if you do. I don't know why you feel the need to downplay the service. If someone is already subbed to GP and a game they're interested in is on the service, why shouldn't they play it?

puisinc4t1308d ago

Yeah we can debate all day whether GP devalues games or not, or whether paying a monthly service is a wise expense to play really huge experiences but at the end of the day GP is, at the very least, a great try before you commit option. :D

You can't go wrong with Yakuza : Like a Dragon.

porkChop1308d ago

Excellent game. Story can go from hilarious to heart wrenching, the gameplay is fun and rewarding, and there's tons of sidequests.

Platinumed it, and I have never manage to do with all other Yakuza games. Pretty fun and easy game.
