Forza Horizon 5 is now fully released, but thanks to a cunning credits exploit, a surprising car has been making waves and achieved superstar status. A Lamborghini? Nope. A McLaren? Nope. It’s a 1945 Willys Jeep.
Claiming the titles of most popular car and most infuriating car at the same time, this exploit – first reported on by Windows Central – has seen players buying hundreds of Willys Jeeps (one of the cheapest cars in the game at just 40,000 credits), upgrading them just three times to get a Super Wheelspin, and reaping the rewards – which are always worth more than the credits you spent buying and upgrading the Willys in the first place.
Gamesradar:
Almost four years on from its original launch on Xbox Series X, I'm reliving the opening of Forza Horizon 5 on PS5.
The gloriously over-the-top introduction to Playground Games' open-world racing adventure is just as entertaining as it ever was, but there's one marked difference that steps things up a gear.
After jettisoning out of the back of a plane behind the wheel of a Ford Bronco, I careen over the hilltops of Mexico and I'm instantly taken by the responsive feel of the DualSense controller.
Not only do the adaptive triggers give me tactile feedback as I put the pedal to the metal, but the controller's vibrations change to mirror the traction of the wheels as I hit different surfaces. I really begin to notice how it enhances the experience when the race switches things up and has me speeding across tarmac in the silky smooth Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Coupe.
I've always loved how every vehicle in Forza Horizon 5 feels different to drive.
I love how much shit ppl were happy to talk about Forza Horizon, but now that it’s on PS5, suddenly it’s amazing.
I’ve got news for you - it was always great, and a lot of other Xbox owned games are great too - but nobody wanted to hear it bc dumbass console war bs.
It looks like the PS5 release of Forza Horizon 5 has already added almost one million players to Microsoft’s mammoth arcade racing game.
...just shows how starved for good arcade style racing games the PS fans have been. Just imagine if Sony had not closed Evolution studios. They are sitting on their own open world style arcade racer series... Motorstorm.
Glad they are seeing success from this. The game is one of the best racing games on the market. There are not much arcade racers available on PlayStation so to get a AAA experience is welcomed.
Its a fantastic game.
Highest rated PS5 racer and potentially 2025 game is a Xbox studios title. Who saw that coming a decade ago.
Not surprised. Forza has always been the best in that genre. Playground Games are really good devs. Microsoft was smart to add them to their family of devs.
The article discusses the release of Forza Horizon 5 on the PS5.
Nathan Ingraham, deputy editor of Engadget initially bought an Xbox Series S for the game but now finds it unnecessary since it's on PlayStation. He praises the game's performance on the PS5, especially the DualSense controller, and highlight the continuous updates and new content, making it a great experience for new PS5 players.
I don't need any console PS5 or xbox got what i wanted on PC.
I can wait a year or two for some games, but if Sony makes it 6 months to port a game will be better.
Horizon 5 is 2021 game.
Shoddy?
Looks like a sweet ride. I need to get it.
Shoddy jeep its a Willys Jeep probably a lot easier to fix and more reliable then the garbage jeeps that are made today. Real metal, swap out parts, no computers, no environmental garbage on it, open the hood ample room to tinker on it. The Americans used it WW2 and Korean War of course it's not built for speed it had a 49hp engine in it and was built to get through mud holes. I am not American and I would love to get my hands on one of these WW2 Willys calling something from your history shoddy is a low blow move. My grandfather probably rode in one when he fought with the allies in WW2. They didn't care about looks back then they only cared about how functional it was looks were the last thing that came to mind.
I'm not really understanding while this trick is so popular... Its not like Forza makes it difficult to get credits or or cars via normal play.
