Retro games are often better suited to CRT TV sets simply by being designed to run on the tech. However, there are some inherent advantages still worth noting, even as OLED panels catch up in many areas.

Yeah if you already have a tv but one day or another poeple will want to buy a new tv or people that moving out.... This will benifit them or you in future...
i havent installed the edge beta just yet but i will later today. It looks pretty easy to set up and will be cool to use the deck instead of my phone.
So this is why I say that console sales aren’t the definitive indicator of success. People are always touting the gap between the consoles. But things like this tv are going to push gamepass out to people in a non-traditional way. Ease of access in multiple ways and that really is going to be a big part of the future.
Already happening in the now. Outside of Xbox, Sony has gone from we believe in generation to having games on the pc. They revamped their streaming services. The costs of games is rising and execs want more diversity and to really recoup. Multiple distribution channels are going to be the norm.
