Home servers will be up 'early PM' GMT with open beta

PS3fanboy reports:

"Did you hear? The Home open beta starts today. The client has been patched up to version 1.03 and the servers are down while Sony does various jiggerypokery behind the scenes. TedTheDog states that the service should be back up, along with the launch of open beta, "early PM UK time," though he adds that he can't be more specific than that, thanks to the nature of the global updates."

Home cost less then a 2 cents! It doesn't even define the PSN. It's just an application like Life With Playstation. What is there to be disappointed about when your simply given something for free? It's like getting mad because the FREE game you got wasn't good. What are you going to do, ask Sony to give you your money back? If your disappointed then don't use it (goes for anyone, not op).

I've been in the beta for about a month now...No game i own was able to use in home game launching yet. Will all games be able to launch from home now or still just the few titles like warhawk and such?

Home has a ton of potential by the way, but so far I've only logged on about 3 times because there was really nothing to do besides mess around with my personal spaces.

It was a closed beta....the open beta is more open...so you will in time be able to launch most of the PS3 games...

There will be a lot more to do...they aready said there will be tons of more much in the dance floor area of home...

Lets just hope that the server does not crash...and I think they have a handle on that...If WOW can work so can HOME...

Well, I've been the the beta for around 4 months and game launching for all my games (PSN & Blu-Ray)was in there so I could launch the game from Home, finish playing and it would return me to the exact position my avatar was in before I was playing. They took it out, probably to test a few things. Of course, the only game to fully utilise the function i.e. allowing you to set-up teams, preferences and then jump immediately into a match, bypassing title screen and logos was Warhawk.

second when you say game launches, do you mean exclusives or every online game? because i met a lot of people who have madden, and this feature would be lovely..oh gta4 too..*crickets*
