Welcome to IGN Australia's 2008 Console Showdown, where we pit the games of the PS3, Wii and Xbox 360 against one another in an all-out brawl. Over the next few days, we'll be looking at which system had the best games this year in a genre by genre breakdown, we'll be comparing the games available on WiiWare, PSN and XBLA, and we'll be crunching numbers to judge each system's performance based on scores. We're kicking the features off today, however, with a look at system exclusives. Which console had the strongest line-up of exclusives in 2008?
Winner : Playstation 3
Just like you don’t ask a woman her age, you don’t ask a Final Fantasy fan how many games there are in total.
I don't quiet get who it's directed at. General player? Sure, I can believe them not knowing some of the less popular final fantasy games. But final fantasy FANS? There is nothing forgotten about these games.
Game Rant interviews Plants vs. Zombies composer Peter McConnell about honoring the series’ quirky roots, adapting its themes, and now going vinyl.
The score for the first Plants Vs Zombies is such great, iconic music that it has a timeless quality. Not quite the level of Minecraft, but wonderful in its own right.
Celebrate Final Fantasy IX's 25th anniversary with the latest merchandise, including figurines of Zidane and Vivi, and a range of t-shirts.
I still need to buy Fable 2 and Valkyria Chronicles.
Well good job PS3. All systems had good exclusives but the PS3 definitely had the most and the best.
Sony gave IGN the money, they were supposed to be using to make Home a viable competitor to Live. Now with the lack of funds, Home will turn out to be terrible...all this for a positive article on the internet.
...tsk, tsk Sony, how low can you go? I now my loving MS will never pull such an act of corruption.
