Battlefield 2042 will, after a few weeks delay, open its doors to fans this week for its open beta. With EA Play members and those that pre-ordered the game getting first dibs tomorrow, October 6, we’ll be able to finally see through our own eyes the guns, maps, and of course, the tornados.
However, alarm bells are already ringing as a number of leakers and insiders are reporting that the anti-cheat system used for Battlefield 2042, the well-established and relatively effective Easy-Anti Cheat, has already been breached by cheaters. It appears that with preloads for the Battlefield 2042 beta going live earlier today, cheat providers have been quick to dive into the game files and figure out workarounds. The likes of ModernWarzone and Tom Henderson are reporting that this is the case, with the latter claiming to have received convincing evidence.
Battlefield 2042's Rush Mode faces criticism due to passive playstyles that hinder objective-based gameplay.
Battlefield franchise boss thinks Battlefield "absolutely can" outsell Call of Duty, but says they're not targeting that with the next entry.
Feel like if that were true, we would have seen it during the BF3/4 era. Just focus first on releasing a Battlefield that's actually feature complete, well put together, that people actually want to play right out of the gate. Hoping Zampella can make this happen.
Here we go again with rubbing mouths. BF has been a flop consistently since BF4, and I mean flop as in disappointing to the fan base due to the technical issues each has had and the gameplay changes needlessly made. Shut up and make a good BF before hyping up another potential disappointment.
I don't mind them claiming BF2042 wasn't a failure so long as they learned from it and use that experience moving forward into the new game, it was terrible at launch but towards the end it got a bit better. I don't want to see the same thing play out with the new BF though because the ones who are still interested in the franchise have been pretty vocal with what they want and don't want from Battlefield.
Battlefield 2042 may no longer be receiving new seasons, but it's already been confirmed that a new Halloween event will hit the game later this year.
As long as I can block crossplay with PC, I am fine.
I doubt they'll let us cross console play so that Xbox and PS can play together.
I love seeing my old ship (real-word as the Essex LHD2) pop up in the Battlefield universe.
Figures cheats would be bypassed, but so? this really is not a wide-spread major issue or concern particularly knowing that they will pull out the ban-hammer and do the usual nip and tuck.
The effort people put into cheating is strange.
"Crossplay Off". On console that is the easy option.
