TSA writes: A serene coming of age story where Sable sets out to decide her future on a desolate desert world. Our review.
All playable December 5.
Sable was cool, gave me a bit of motion sickness though. Lego Drive and Power Wash are fun games.
I bought Sable a while back because it seems like a game I'd love and the art style is amazing but ... dear God ... https://youtu.be/mIJ7EjKhN-... The framerate is like a car that's conking out and about to die. It stutters all over the place, especially on the bike. It's not very playable.
You can get used to a low framerate but not this. It's like this on every platform and I don't think they ever fixed it.
Trash month for Sony. I expect better. They haven't had a month this bad in a while.
VGChartz's Lee Mehr: "Artistically inspired and technically hobbled, Sable is one of those indie games that’s exciting to evaluate but which I'm still reserved in outright recommending. In its current state, its unforgettable qualities burn at both ends. Think of it as an enthusiastic tentative endorsement: genre fans can level with its rough framerate while the rest should patiently wait for it to be spruced up.
I’m (mostly) partial to forgiving a young developer making elementary mistakes when Shedworks seems so mature in other respects. Like Sable’s rite of passage, the hands-off approach lends greater gravitas to a player’s own discoveries. That inherent curiosity feeds into the new people you meet, the ships you explore, the wide plains you traverse, and, ultimately, the role you assume. Although I feel “professionally” compelled to warn about its current nastier faults on PS5, I still sincerely hope you'll embark on The Gliding someday."
Join Sable on her rite of passage as she journeys across Midden to find her path in life with various quests before returning to her people.
The performance is ridiculously bad, so it really doesn't deserve a score this high.
