PlayStation 5 CFI-1100 review: better or worse than the launch console?

The core question of whether the new PS5 is better or worse than the launch model can be answered by saying that they're mostly much the same, certainly in terms of the end user experience.

As far as the screw is concerned... the original was made to be tightened with a coin, not so much a screwdriver. They did the same thing with the PS2 hdd adapter and even the stands for the PS4 slim/pro.

It sucks that some people were or still are genuinely worried about getting the new model because of Austin Evan's video.

These factual videos are also getting a fraction of the views because they lack clickbait titles, and there's less articles providing the correct information.

He really should update the title but given that he admitted he used clickbait for views and he dislikes PS anyway ( https://mobile.twitter.com/... ), I doubt he'll pass on the ad revenue.

I would like to see companies go after people spreading lies personally, it might make these idiots think twice before spreading lies that damage the reputation of companies/individuals.

I’m sure they are very similar . They may have slight advantages over each other but nothing to make a fuss about or enough to get the newer model . The models that make the biggest differences will either be a slim or pro model .

Army_of_Darkness1353d ago

Bro, the differences are too minimal too even matter. I just care about getting my hands on one! 😁

Aloymetal1353d ago

Hope you get one pretty soon so good luck!

Honestly, was hoping this Gen wouldn't need a pro model, but that is looking unlikely.

I did get a X1X, but I was coming from the base Xbox One. That was a huge difference. Honestly, I like my base PS4. It was clearly a much more capable machine than the base Xbox One. PS4 games looked so much better, than they did on the OG XBOne. I think in part because PS4 was HDR capable, and the OG One wasn't.

This Gen, is still new. When developers stop using resources, on last gen, I am sure they will find ways to push the newer hardware to its maximum potential.

This revision isn’t meant to make a big difference to the consumer but to Sony and the cost of manufacturing consoles. People acting like console revisions are a new thing😔

darkrider1353d ago (Edited 1353d ago )

This is nothing more then the backstage of the console war. It started before the launch of the ps5 and its still going. Fake news after fake news. But lies don't go far. You tubers and social media is being used like a weapon to create lies.

Yes they are more empowered than ever before but unfortunately it’s not just you tubers and Twitter and many lies don’t die.

blackblades1353d ago (Edited 1353d ago )

And guess what nothing happens to them they get away with it just like the former PoA. Hiphopgamer got blacklisted from n4g but of course all these losers with podcast gets away with the bullcrap. Review bombing on metric, you tube clickbait/false news, trolls/hate on Twitter and nothing happens to them. They keep doing it until someone breaks and do something stupid about it.

Expedition 33 Dev Think "Brevity" a "Virtue" in Gaming, Questions Link of Length to Price

Sandfall focused on quality over quantity, and didn't want to stuff the game just to make it larger and larger.

So the opposing viewpoint that Ubisoft has these days? Good. I'm sick of extra long, filler games, not because shorter is better, but rather because I want an exciting game all the way through, and I'd rather have less content, if that content is of higher quality (more unique scenarios or freedom to complete an objective in my own way), than repeatedly performing copy & paste boring quests throughout a massive game map. That to me is not interesting.

Edit: The credit URL is broken, it has extra text at the end, so it doesn't work, this is the correct credit URL:

Length to price is a stupid metric. You can play a 8 hour masterpiece and it can stay with you for years.

Or you could play a overinflated generic game for 80 hours that repeats it's gameplay loop ad nauseum while collecting 100s of items around a map with no purpose

Each game sells for full RRP what would you prefer.

Maybe it's just me but the older I get I just want games to respect my time. If a game is justifiably long great if a game bloats itself for no reason I hate it

FromSoftware Faces Feedback as Elden Ring Nightreign Lacks Core Co-op Features

The highly anticipated Elden Ring spinoff has just been released, but the reception is mixed at best. FromSoftware faces some serious feedback from the fans, with many blaming the lack of some core co-op features from Elden Ring: Nightreign.

lukasmain15h ago

I haven't played it, but there should have been a dual co-op option at launch, and if the game is not strictly balanced from going solo to 3 people, then that is a major flaw.
