Yeah I agree with you. Just like how everyone is like Sony got no 1st party fall games..... then when you ask show me all the fall 1st party games over the last decade and everyone can't answer cause they know Sony rips up the spring with their releases like GoW usually in March or TLOU or Uncharted in like a February.

So far my personal GOTY so far is Returnal. But I'm hoping Deathloop can contest that.

I cant keep up with the games lol. Currently playing hades, returnal, vigor hzd and just about to buy this Friday golf club wastelands, greek and oxenfree and also my fifa pre order (that comes with 1month EA play also)
Then I've got lost in random, deathloop to play and the list goes on all winter.
I don't get this ps5 has no games? We've had sackboy, returnal,ratchet, spiderman, DS and deathloop.
If anything it's quite sad cause xbox gamers must feel like it's last gen still? They've only had medium.

It's easy for most to describe a 'problem ' but difficult to present a solution, aka pointless complains.

If you have a solution to the problem you are describing then suggest a solution, or stop complaining altogether.

How would you re-invent fps mechanics and most importantly how would introducing real-world mechanics benefit game design?(spoiler alert: it will make things difficult for the devs and less fun for the gamer).

My idea of making fps games feel fresh is through VR, but that's a perspective and immersion thing (with some game design balancing to accommodate VR movement), not a radical gameplay mechanics approach.

I'm genuinely curious to hear your thoughts.

I'm so happy that this game is proving all the doubters wrong. This game has received so much unjustified shit. Sure, people got fed up with all the game play reveals. But since when has the transparency been a bad thing? Since early reveal this has been my most anticipated next gen game. Not because of amazing visuals but rather because of unique and interesting gameplay.

Doubtful. Ghost of Tsushima Director's cut is tied at 88, and Deathloop most likely won't go up, if it drops a point, it's tied with Tales of Arise. But sure, if this game being tied with a Jrpg somehow makes console loyalists feel good, then more power to em. I'm sure it's a great game, but this take is just silly. As someone that finally got their hands on a PS5, I'm really happy with their first year performance. Absolutely ahead of the game when compared to the competition. Finally, metacritic has proven to be a less than reliable metric IMO. I'd suggest playing games for yourself and forming your own opinion. Game journos haven't exactly inspired trust in recent years, Deathloop does look pretty cool though, anxious to give it a shot.

@dumahim having played a few hours of it already, it is similar to Dishonored 2 in terms of art style and traversing the world, but that's where it stops. This game is more action shooter oriented, whereas Dishonored was stealth focused

In the case of Playstation fans it's going to be bittersweet knowing the next game isn't going to come to Playstation.

While the Xbox crowd can't really celebrate it properly until Deathloop 2 gets announced.

They're now a MS developer. I'm happy that MS is honoring the commitments made prior to the acquisition. Even help better fund the projects, resulting in better games.

I hope it sells well, both on PC and Playstation. MS will be seeing the profits, and it means a potential, even better sequel will come to Xbox and PC.
Playstation if they're feeling charitable.

It's not a PS5 exclusive. It's a console launch exclusive. It's launching on PC day 1, and Sony have said "Not available on other consoles until at least 09/14/22."

So we know it's coming to Xbox next year.
