Don't worry, it will be cracked and Denuvo removed, just like RE Village haha, I probably won't play it but just torrent it anyway lol. Switch version is already cracked with the ROM and emulator up. 😀

ZeekQuattro1330d ago

Sega shit the bed on this game big time. If its not involving Yakuza or its spin offs they don't seem to give a damn these days.

-Hermit-1330d ago

It wasn't Sega that worked on it, it was Blind Squirrel Games.

ZeekQuattro1330d ago

People love to say that but Sega is one that hired them for the job. So what I said stands. There's plenty of blame to go around.

I was happy with the last two PS+ Essential Game Lineups too, but this one is a ton cooler. Owned TMNT Collection on PC already, but will most likely play it again on the bigger screen.

Is Dragon Age The Veilguard worth the time it probably needs? Liked the previous games of the series a lot.

pwnmaster300065d ago (Edited 65d ago )

I mean no harm in trying.
I’m glad it is because I was just gonna buy it.
I usually just grab any monthly game.
I have so much games that I’ve never played sitting in my library because of the monthly games lol. Do they have an expiration?

Popsicle65d ago

So long as you stay subscribed they stay in your library.

Terry_B65d ago

Only if you unsubscribe to ps+..but even if you make a subscription pause of years, they would be back if you subscribe again with the same PSN account ^^

Back in August '24 I started the crazy quest to try and beat as many of the ..around 350 PS4+PS5 ps+ games I have + a few bought one sin physical form ..since I started subscribing back in 2013 already. From A-Z.

Played through a weird game named 2064 Read Only Memories..had a lot of fun and almost tears with the damn awesome 2 "A Plague Tale" games, enjoyed Alan Wake, Aliens Fireteam Squad or what its called and a couple more games started with A.

When I was at the standalone dlc for Assassins creed IV Black Flag I bought that friggin whole game and beat it because I liked the dlc.

Now in february 2025 I am still at fucking letter B because I also bought Barman Arkham Collection and just beat Arkham City, Getting the time for all these games that are good and come for such a small price is more soulslike than anything from FromSoftware.

Lets see if I make it to Letter D by the end of the year >:I

This really feel like good value for the plus sub. Can't wait to give DA and Sonic a try. Already have TMNT

Jingsing63d ago (Edited 63d ago )

@Terry_B How is PS+ good value if for example I haven't been subscribed for 5 years, Then 5 years later I want to play a game I got on the service. I have to pay $100 or more whatever the price will be in the future, almost certainly higher. That isn't value at all having to pay a high access fee for an old 10 year old game. Nothing about game subscriptions make financial sense unless you can keep them in your library without having to constantly pay for it. That is how they make the money and you ultimately lose as a consumer.

Dragon Age has a fun combat system that offers good challenge on the higher difficulty (haven't tried normal).

I'm about 10-12 hours in, on PC where it runs so well, and just got Lucanis in my party. Graphics are nice, audio is good, quality of voice actors is also good.

The only problem at this point is there are signs of overly-positive writing and one character I've complained about before that is especially annoying.

I haven't played more because of other games, not because it isn't fun or the writing is *that* off-putting.

Maybe as I play more I'll like it less, but for now, I know enough about the tone of the writing that I can brush that aside and enjoy a fun game with acting that's still good despite some of what they're given - the core of what's been about the story is written better than when it's about or involving that specific irritating character.

VenomUK65d ago

For Dragon Age: The Veilguard to be included in PS Plus so soon after release just goes to show how far EA/Bioware shit the bed.

thorstein65d ago

I'd place it just below Inquisition. There are parts that I really enjoyed getting into the backstory about, especially the infractions with Solas. Luckily there are many companions and you can usually pick who you want with you.

The character stories are decent, with some being quite enjoyable.

nitus1064d ago

I spent a few hours on Inquisition and while I think the gameplay was fine I just lost interest. Of course I did have Dark Souls 2, 3, Bloodborne and a suite of RPG's that I also wanted to play at the time.

Oh well I will bookmark all the games in case I eventually wish to play them.

Luc2065d ago

Playing all these games sounds like a full time job! No doubt you'll come across a gem once in a while.

Abear2164d ago

If it wasn’t for GT7 I’d probably finish more games. Want TMNT just for the nostalgia high and will play it some, but backlog be damned!

I’m only adding must play games to the pile bc I’m already a year behind haven’t started RE4 yet or Alan Wake 2, hopefully news of GTA6 or RDR2 remaster happens by the time I finish them. Probably finish Skyrim before I play Veilguard.

Daeloki64d ago

Veilguard is fun to a degree, but sadly falls a bit short from its predecessors. I bought it at release because I was excited to have it, but sadly I was a bit blinded to actual valid criticism by all the typical loud anti-woke rantings. As in, by the time I wanted to check reviews, all you could really see was grown white men crying about pronouns and other optional character features, and all actual criticism was kinda drowned out.

That said, I think the gameplay is fun, although it can get a bit repetitive. It looks stunning in my opinnion, but the writing isn't very deep. Everyone gets along a bit too well, there is no real friction or risk of uppsetting your companions. Visually it's very pleasing, spells and abilities are flashy and cool, and combat is very fluid and dynamic. The companions had initially interesting storylines, but they kinda fell short despite the potential.

Ooh Sonic colors. I never actually got around to beating my Wii copy. I hope it's been improved cuz I heard at lunch it wasn't the best

Terry_B65d ago

Much better graphics, better controls, more languages, a new game mode even some decently remixed music tracks

DoubleYourDose65d ago

Definitely better for a late night snack.

Profchaos65d ago

Yeah same I struggled with the Wii version back in the day because it ran terrible so I'm excited to play this

Cockney64d ago

Someone told me at breakfast the game was a bit on the woke side, I won't download it till after dinner, maybe ill hear different by then

thorstein64d ago (Edited 64d ago )

A companion has an optional storyline about their gender. If you choose to go through that particular companion storyline, you can button beat the dialog and avoid it.

That stuff doesn't bother me at all, but I found that character annoying anyway.

So how long until skull and bones is on ps+?
they love throwing the leftover slop on there lately

rest is cool though
can't beat those Konami collections

Profchaos65d ago

Absolutely it's coming to be honest I'd rather play the underwater tnmt NES level on repeat than start dragon age

Popsicle65d ago (Edited 65d ago )

I am absolutely more excited about the Cowabunga collection when compared to the other 2 offerings. In all honesty it is probably the only game out of the 3 that I will get around to playing.

ravens5265d ago

I just bought Dragon Age too lol. $25 off Amazon. Guess I'll just leave it sealed then 🤷🏾.

badz14963d ago

LOL how many times have this happened to me haha

OtterX65d ago (Edited 65d ago )

Wow, pretty amazing as Veilguard just came out in October. Opinions have been pretty mixed, but I'll happily try it out for free. I loved Inquisition, but I know to keep my expectations lower for this one.

As for TMNT collection, I had bought for Switch a long while back so i could have it for portable play. I'm really happy to get it again on PS5 for trophies.

crazyCoconuts65d ago

Yeah highly unusual to have it Veilguard on PS+ so soon! Don't know if that's a statement of how great PS+ is, how poorly Veilguard did, or a combination of both.

raWfodog65d ago

Yup, get to try it out for myself sooner rather than later without having to 'buy' it. It's really telling that this next DA game has been shifted to PS Plus so soon after its release but I'm still willing to give it a go after the lackluster reviews.

Ninver65d ago (Edited 65d ago )

Try it out you may. But know that nothing is free.

You know what great about games back then? Nobody was trying to milk remasters. We all got original Games immediately for the new consoles. None of this cross-gen crap, no remasters, when you got a new console you played new games. Miss those days.

CaptainHenry9161258d ago

Facts. I totally agree with you

fitofficial1258d ago

If we're being fair launch lineups for most consoles were pretty terrible. Most had one, maybe two good games at the start. I think the amount of great games for consoles has definitely receded though in comparison to past generations. If you look at the bar for what a "great" game is versus what used to be considered great (Ratchet: Rift Apart vs. any of the original 3 Ratchets, for example), the bar has been lowered to a staggering degree.

galgor1258d ago

You still had SEGA releasing Genesis collections and Namco doing arcade classics. And to this day they still release those things on new consoles.

CrimsonWing691258d ago

Genesis collections on… Sega Genesis? Was there one for Saturn or Dreamcast? Also, like how many of those were on the consoles back then? Also, we’re they compilations or sold separately?

fitofficial1258d ago (Edited 1258d ago )

The problem with GAMES in 2021 is that the vast majority of companies have shifted what used to be the majority of their beta-dev phase from before launch to after launch to the tune of huge profits and reduced development time. The first year after a game's release is now the beta, early-adopters that are ignorant enough to pay full price for unfinished games are the beta testers, and these companies laugh all the way to the bank.

To top it off, game "journalists" triple dip with articles before release about how hyped they are, around release about how terrible the games are (or controversy-stoking articles about why everyone's wrong and the game is actually good), and then a year after release when everything's fixed they'll wax poetic about how the game is suddenly great and everyone that missed it should now play it. The whole system sucks out loud.

CrimsonWing691258d ago (Edited 1258d ago )

See, I think it has to do with publishers not willing to take a gamble on new games due to them not selling. I think we see Remasters because it’s cheap and consumers seem to buy them.

fitofficial1258d ago

Oh it's definitely both, but look no further than Rockstar rushing out the GTA remasters and then saying "soooorry" on a bearskin rug to confirm what I alluded to.
