I think I'll start fresh with the Director's Cut, but it's good to have the option of course.

That's what I would do too but I'm holding out hope that there will be a pc version of it at some point. Loved the game on my PS4 Pro but if I'm going to be playing it again I want to play it on pc this time.

The original version was such a great pc port that I almost bought it again. But a Director's Cut would definitely give me an excuse to play it again and see what my 3080 can do with it.

I'd love to play it starting from scratch especially with all of the Director's Cut bells and whistles. The game is such a unique AND fun experience.

I believe this Director's Cut has most of the stuff that was in the PC version already, so I don't know if they will do a separate release. But maybe they'll add the new additions to the PC version as well.

This so much,.. I was like 40 or more hours in,.. but stopped for few months and actually had real hard time to gt back into it,..(forgot all the systems,.. and kinda felt it got way to easy with those stabilizers) Besides,.. I want to replay some ''boss'' sections,.. because there are some of most graphically incredible skullduggery I've ever seen in a game,.. (Really wonder how on earth could they make this make look better,.. and they did,..)
Hope some haptic implementation is used in this,..
It is going to be amazing,..

It does have DualSense support:

PlayStation 5 features
- Experience environment effects with the DualSense wireless controller’s haptic feedback.
- Get closer to the world of Death Stranding with bespoke adaptive trigger resistance.
- Hear sound effects come to life in 3D Audio (requires compatible headphones).
- Get into the action quickly with the PS5 console’s ultra-fast SSD and near-instant load times.
- Choose from two picture modes – performance mode with scaled 4K and up to 60FPS or fidelity mode in native 4K -both with HDR support**, so you can enjoy stunningly clear graphics and advanced texture streaming.
- Death Stranding: Director’s Cut offers a Widescreen Mode for an ultra-wide play experience, using the console’s standard 16:9 aspect ratio to display letterboxed gameplay equivalent to 21:9 aspect ratio.

That's not proof, it's your opinion
which means you are lying, or you are a writer for a living who doesn't know what "prove" means
which is it?

Content writers have to be hyperbolic.

On n4g, I frequently get so annoyed by comments that I take the time to login so I can downvote someone. Today is such a day. What a pointless comment…

jambola65d ago

that's pretty pathetic
Can't believe you're talking about pointless, and bragging about downvoting someone lmao

I logged in just to downvote as well, and even took the time to comment to make them aware of the fact lmao

Got the Director's Cut platinum a couple of hours ago.
Ready for DS2 now.

Storm2380d ago

I have been slowly working my way though this game for months. I keep playing other games in between but I want to finish it before DS2.

Knushwood Butt80d ago

I ended up with over 140 hours on it, but I wasn't exactly rushing. Ended up seeing to it that all roads were rebuilt too.
There are still a few Half Life missions left that I think I'll do.

lukasmain80d ago

Man I love this game. Platinumed it and played through it a 2nd time just for fun. I'm day 1 with bells on for the sequel

anast80d ago (Edited 80d ago )

In still drop in this world from time to time. I just played it yesterday.

Video Games Proud To Not Be For Everyone

Plenty of games have made a name for themselves as being proud of the fact they’re not to everyone’s taste over the years.

If you make something for everyone, you please no one.

mkis007138d ago

I mean I can do without nintendo games if given the choice. They are not nearly as mature rated as the average.

Yui_Suzumiya137d ago (Edited 137d ago )

Yeah but I use my Switch OLED primarily for anime booba style games (visual novels and JRPG's) and ultra violent FPS's. Far from kid friendly, lol

JohnBLZ137d ago

The problem with that line of though is that games have never been as much "for everyone" as in 2025.
The only thing that's not for everyone in gaming lately is the gatekeeping. Devs will try to appeal to as many people as they can, but if you dare have your own tastes and prefer something a bit more obscure, then you have "L takes" because at the moment, popular opinion equals right opinion.
So devs should simply own the fact they water down their games and go Hollywood to please everybody. Then indies will go back to being trendsetters that are different from AAAs, instead of being roguelike and gacha copycats.

Okay, but "games I'm not meant to love" means I won't play them.
Games are for fun. They're their own art, it's a disservice to reduce them to interactive stories. You can focus on making your audience entertained on a positive way and still stand out.

No game is for everyone. Some games are more mainstream or casual friendly but there is always someone who won’t like it. Same with anything else
