Guest I'll check this out on PC or PS5

Orchard1369d ago (Edited 1369d ago )

It's PS4 only so probably want to go with PC (with a controller...)

Support the dev though, DF are a great studio - hopefully this game being received well means we'll get a Psychonauts 3 + Brutal Legend sequel.

I'm not going to try this out, but I'm sure if you put the PS4 disc inside the PS5 it will probably work. But since I have GamePass on PC I'll be playing it that way.

Orchard1369d ago

@CaptainHenry916 It will work, but you’ll be playing a last gen game via back compat - not a next gen version.

Christopher1369d ago

Because better graphics make a better game?

Orchard1369d ago

@Christopher I’m definitely not in the “a game must have awesome graphics to be fun” camp. Heck I just replayed Psychonauts 1 recently.

But I do plan on playing this game at high framerate on my PC, which does matter to me on a platformer.

But each to their own.

CaptainHenry9161369d ago

The playstation version is irrelevant and doesn't apply to me. I was just saying it would work if someone wants to check it out that way. I like the fact that I have options when it comes to playing games.

The playstation is irrelevant and doesn't apply to me for this game. I was just saying it would work if someone wants to check it out that way. I love the fact that I have options when it comes to playing games. 90% of the time I play all of my multiplatform games on PC.

TheDoomedGuy1369d ago (Edited 1369d ago )

Likely back compat with ps5.

Can't do much supporting though when it's on gamepass.

***If graphics didn't matter Christopher sites like Digital Foundry would not exists. ***

Read what I said again.

@Chris

Does not having a better framerate and resolution in an already great game make it ... better?

I'm happy that MS honored the promises of the Kickstarter, and allowed for the PS4 release.
I'm always for more people being able to enjoy the games they want to enjoy. No matter what they choose to play on.

We're also here on N4G, and everything needs to be about fanboy wars, so I'm glad that MS owning the developer can say they have the best version of the title locked to PC and Xbox.

Since you have GP for PC... check it out there and if you like it, buy it on PS.

CaptainHenry9161369d ago (Edited 1369d ago )

It will be PC if it's on gamepass. A lot cheaper as well. One of the reasons I like gamepass

darthv721369d ago

^^I agree but just because something is on GP doesnt mean you cant still buy it if you like it. I do that all the time. I have bought more games as a result of playing them in GP because i want to own them. And we know you dont support the XB console and instead support GP on PC. But you also like to own your games which is where you being able to buy it on the PS comes in. That's the beauty of it. You can also get both trophies and achievements (if you are into that sort of thing).

It's a win win.

KillBill1368d ago (Edited 1368d ago )

Why would he have to buy it on PS if he is liking it on PC?

I'm about 9 episodes into this and it's great. They've been recording it for long, long time, pre Kickstarter and Rhombus.

Looks like it's 33 episodes. Going to keep this, using All Video Downloader. 😊
