After teasing Australian gamers with the chance to win one of 50 highly customized DualSense controllers, it appears that McDonald's forgot to ask one major company for permission to do so: Sony.
LMAO... Who designed that controller, they clearly have never played a video game in their life... LoL
lol....what the hell they were thinking ? i think they did it with clear arrogancy that ok "we make it unofficially and then Sony will be force convienced to accept it and make it official.... let alone that these are tragic colors
Sony doesnt have to provide their blessing. This wasnt something they sponsored, this is a localized McD thing. They bought the controllers and had them customized. Only way sony would be involved is if they were doing the promo for McD. But they arent. There are lots of outfits that take retail controllers and customize them for customers. What McD did wrong was using sony name as clout to promote the giveaway. They cant do that. If they just said, win a custom dualsense 5.... they would have been fine.
You can resell it yes but you can not use Sony name to promote your services. But you can sell Sony products "AS IT JS" and no customizable.
Looks like Fisher-Price designed it but I wonder if it would be worth cash because of the limited run, being offered in a certain area, and being a prize. The right collector might pay a handsome price for that controller if its unopened and unused I wonder what it would fetch later on in the future. I wouldn't mind collecting this controller might be odd ball looking but it would be worth it I have the Burger King XB360 games.
https://images.mattel.com/s... Idk which one looks better.
Lol i remember back then I wanted the bk games so bad!
Sneak King still comes out on the occasional party night.
So that looks atrocious.
If this were meant as consumerist satire, I'd be all for it. I don't generally rail against "consumerism", but this is just too perfect, lol.
Who in Australia is going to McDonald’s anyway lol? Isn’t Australia in a practical martial law with its Military enforcing lockdowns? Or is that fake news?
Mainly if you live in Sydney and it's surrounding suburbs. There are a few other lockdowns occuring around the country but they are much smaller in scale right now. Also many state boarders are closed. All in all its pretty far from martial law just a stay at home order only allowed to leave for essential item like beer food and hardware store purchases. Yes beer is legit classified as essential. But I believe even then maccas is still open and operating as they are an essential service and like most take away joints they have delivery so pretty much all restaurants from maccas and KFC to the most fancy of places are offering take away as a way to stay in business. It does suck a little though I'd like to see my family before Christmas hopefully.
Sidney is enforcing lockdowns with military? Is Sidney the rowdy bunch or something? The “non-communists”? Lol
Haha not military but lots of police roadblocks and checking in and out of the area also people frequently getting pulled over by police to check they have a legit reason to be out of the house like work. Pretty standard practice here if there's an outbreak that region is locked down until it sorts itself out.
It's really not as bad as your thinking sourOG, then again, every time there's an outbreak, it's bloody NSW that was the bloody cause (it's always the right wingers stuffing everything up).
Ahh ok. @final I’m just going by what I see on the fake news, that’s why I asked an Australian lol. NSW? I’m not familiar. Left/Right there is no difference, they both utterly useless demagogues.
our liquor and weed stores are also "essential businesses". kind of waters down the hero worship for "essential workers during these difficult times" when its a bunch of stoners selling beer.
@sourOG If you want a good Australian news source, there's always Friendly Jordies, he's actually one of our only good news sources, unfortunately most people watch Murdoch/Sky. https://www.youtube.com/use...
Thought this was fake. Lol.
I think this is nicely designed. Here's why: When you're using the controller, the fries and big mac isn't fully covered with your hands so when you're hungry they're constantly there to remind you. Over time, the white area may get brown, but brown is the color of fries/burgers etc. There are two M logos and they can't be missed so another great way to advertise.
When first Picking that up, it'd just reminded me how often I get cold fries.
Someone really messed up when working from home some maccas worker right now going shit I forgot to send Sony that e-mail.
Pretentious Sony at it again.
Xbox is gonna jump all over this.
What? Why and where?
Hey look. N4G being N4G again. A negative article that has nothing to do with Xbox. Definitely need to make sure to tie it to Xbox in some way.
@Ted No worries. You are quite welcome.
I want it. Ill take a 50 piece with it.
This thing is going to be worth thousands in the future.
McDonalds food is garbage . I only go there for breakfast when I can’t find a diner that is open when I’m in the middle of nowhere otherwise I avoid it like the plague .
there is a McD in the middle of nowhere where you live? wow I though McD only open where there are lots of people - never in the middle of nowhere, at least where I live
There are McDonalds in the smallest towns . It’s all they have sometimes and a little grocery and one diner . It’s very common in the US .
Fast food is one of the last places I go to eat (it all tastes like trash and I always feel bad or sick after eating it), I'd rather the local noodle shop, alot of people complain about it because they don't like that kind of food, but I love it, one of the best joints in town.
Agreed , they are feeding Americans crap food and it’s sad because kids eat it the most .
mcdonalds is fine. there's better, obviously. calm down everyone. lol
That is one ugly controller. Who the hell wants a controller with a McDonalds logo, fries and a burger on it?
Not saying I want it but if you get it for free and have a ps5 with young kids in the house is the perfect controller for them so they don't bust your good one. Outside of that it's pretty dammn ugly
Id rock it. i spend about 0 seconds looking at my hands during a game so i dont really care. while not playing? its a goofy conversation piece.
What the hell?! I haven't seen any adverts for it, it is very hideous....something americans would love.
SoMeThInG AmEriCanS wOuLd LoVe
the ugliest thing i've ever seen
