Valve won't stop you from connecting anything to your Steam Deck, including an Oculus Quest, according to Gabe Newell.
If I were Gabe with the extra pounds and stuff, I would release something Half Life exclusive related for this thing , and booya !!the Switch is dead :D
the Switch is dead because of Half Life? I think you need your head examined.
That would suck, Half Life has always been PC first so it should release there before anything else.
This is a PC....
Obviously it's a PC, he's saying he wants it exclusive to this device which is not the same thing. They should go all out on a release of Half Life like they usually have on PC, not watered down for console or a lower power device first.
I don't think you understand what a PC is....
Half-Life 2 was good, but I don’t think it’s the end-all-be-all of games, in fact, if I’m being honest, there’s better games out there now that have improved upon the foundation that Half-Life built. That being said, since I’m someone who doesn’t have a gaming PC, I’m really excited to get this thing and be able to dock it to my TV and play PC games with mods. I feel like this is really catered to the console pleb demographic that I’m lumped into. I also feel like at this point Half-Life 3 could never live up to the expectations of gamers. That might be why they won’t finish it, kind of a “damned if you do, damned if you don’t” situation.
The Steam deck won't kill the Switch because they're aimed at different markets.
