It's Web streaming the background assets non of it is rendered by the gpu or loaded into the ram

It loads a lot data through the normal channels (hence huge load times) but then uses the cloud to give more detail (u can play it offline)

It also uses an off-line procedural generation AI to turn 2D map data into realistic tapography

Streaming assets is not the same as processing it. It sends the data for nearby assets, nothing new at all, and then the graphics are processed by the console.

I think it looks amazing. Usually with games like this, their's a big hit on graphics coming from PC. But the X really holds it's own.
