N64 Mini? Nintendo confirms it wants to make more classic 'mini' consoles

The N64 Mini has potentially been teased by Nintendo after the company revealed it wants to make more classic mini consoles.

If they can get the price right and have Rare onboard. I could see it being pretty nice.

Though personally I would be much more interested in any of the other 5th generation console (minus the Playstation for obvious reasons). As something like a Saturn, Jaguar, 3DO or even the PC-FX would be more useful as far less people had those.

From Nintendo themselves. I feel a GB/GBA Mini would be much cooler as well.

It's near pointless without rare. Kinda like the PS One classic was imo. I really hope they'd get Diddy Kong Racing. Banjo, DK64, Golden Eye and such on it. Definitely don't expect Conker even if lol. But I'd be happy for. Then again I'd just mod and put the games on like the SNES one

I can't imagine they could get Goldeneye on it just because of the licensing/likenesses issues with stuff like that, they'd probably have a better shot at getting Perfect Dark from Microsoft lol.

Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Turok, Doom 64 and the souped up version of Resident Evil 2.

Their relationship with Microsoft is at a really good place right now. I wouldn’t be surprised if those rare games make it on there.

I've thought that Nintendo and MS could fix reach other's problems for awhile. It's like having those 2 close friends who you just know should date because they'd be so good for each other. But they keep doing their own thing and making little mistakes that wouldn't be an issue if they'd just get together.

I remember looking at magazines as a kid and wanting a 3DO so badly! The design of that thing is just genius and for me it looked like the future. Don't remember how much was it, but I think it was around $1000 in my country... I would have bought it if i could, and probably regret it for the rest of my childhood

I want N64 and GameCube on my Switch. I never had a GameCube and I've always wanted to play Eternal Darkness for it. Whether a remaster or port, I don't care.

Depending on how bad you want to play it, considering how expensive the game is now, maybe you could get a emulated game and buy a Gamecube controller for pc? That is, of course, unless you're a purist, which I understand there too.

N64 is a great option as that controller makes ports tough on anything outside of native hardware. Same with the GameCube and its shoulder button, GC has some really odd little gems. Chibi Robo, Pikmin, Eternal Darkness.

The minis are nice, as long as they put the right games on there and enough of them. But I do wish they would come up with a virtual console system for the switch. There's no reason I shouldn't be able to play a back catalog of SNES, n64, GameCube, games all that stuff on the switch. They're missing a huge opportunity to monetize their incredible history.

GameCube was awesome. It was more powerful than PS2, Xbox took that from Nintendo with Xbox that Generation. Xbox was the most powerful that gen, BUT Sony CRUSHED sales that gen! PS2 sold more than Gamecube and Xbox combined.

Oh, I have the PS1 mini as well but the less said about that the better
